I was really looking forward to "The Guest" and was in the Mood for a Mystery Adventure. After practically pure Walking Sims like "Layers of Fear" and "The Park," I was initially positively surprised by the Interactivity in this Game including large Inventory, using inventory items with each other and with the Environment and Close-ups of the Game world for the game world. Puzzles and To Find Objects. The existing Puzzles are, for the Most part, fairly well implemented and, in terms of claim, well above the Level of their Relatives from Hidden Object games. So, why don't I recommend the Game overall? Because outside of the two to three (for me) excellent Puzzles I didn't have much Fun playing. The Story couldn't grab me and the Resolution was pretty much exactly what you suspect from the Beginning and seems a bit very weird and constructed. Atmospherically, the Game roughly launches towards psychological Tragedy of mysterious horror (ominous Tapping, Hallucinations, Darkness And an Environment that doesn't always fit the Imagination), but then doesn't really pursue that because it actually does Unimportant. It hangs somewhere in the Genre between a Walking Simulator Who wants to tell a Story and a proper Adventure that wants to offer Gameplay. Unfortunately, "real" Members of both Groups make their Cause significantly better. FAZIT: Maybe my Anticipation was just too big, but after a good 2 1/2 Hours came the End Credits and I was disappointed. Even the short, gameplay-free "The Park" had more "Moments" than this Game. PRO: + Good Puzzles + Right Good game flow including Backtracking when Receiving new Information. Beautiful Distribution of the Puzzles and the necessary Items. + Unsightly Graphics + Significantly more Gameplay than in Walking Simulators, such as Layers of Fear, The Park and Going Home, ... CONTRA-... But that also includes a lot of 3D Hidden Object (Searching for Required Objects in dark Corners). -The slow Movement speed of the Protagonist is tiresome-Predictable, uninteresting story

Being locked up as a guest In an enigmatic hotel room is a great Holiday! "The Guest" (Eng. The Guest is a Video Game that was released for the PC at the beginning of 2016. By Genre, the Game is more of an Indie-adventure, adventure, Psycho-horror game that also includes Puzzles. The Whole thing was Developed by a team of four, called "Team Gotham." The Publishers are 505 Games. The Protagonist in the Game is a highly respected Doctor and Scientist who is invited to an International Science Congress. To attend the Science Congress, Doctor Leonov must travel to Boston from his Hometown and spend his Stay in a Hotel. But it soon becomes clear that this is not an "ordinary" Hotel room ... The following Course I will try to present the pros, and Cons of the Game, short and crisp as a Table. As a small Comment, I would remind you that I am only BRINGING in MY personal Gaming experiences and Sensations, and trying to describe them objectively. This means that every Person has a different Understanding, and the Point Of view is rather relative. Positive Features: + Great And Creepy atmosphere + Good Soundtrack/Soundscene that Adapts to the Situation + captivating and exciting Story + Many readable Documents + Inventory is viewable + free Exploration possible by ego perspective + detailed Environment + Always More difficult Puzzles + playing Time of about 3 to 5 Hours + value for money is True Negative features:-Unfortunately, there are no Monologues-Lineares end, although in the Game you have the Opportunity to master some Puzzles in different Ways conclusion: In Summary, I can say about "The Guest" that I mostly see it as a very successful and good Game! The Atmosphere has had a positive effect on the Story, so I actually felt like I was the Protagonist. The Game has a special Charm, so I'm left in Memory of the Story and the Feeling the Game gave me for a long time. That's why I recommend this Game to anyone who would like to experience a spooky atmosphere, with puzzling Challenges and a well-told Story! (o ^ ^ o) Written by Rithleen
