Product received for free If a Game on its Product Page must specify under the Features that the Graphics are homemade then we know three Things directly: 1. It has been created with the Unity Engine (also mentioned as a Feature) 2. It has the Minecraft Voxel-pixel shooting death style and 3. It has something to do with Horror. Hurray! Hallöchen my dear Friends, here's the Play-swarmer, grab your Cuddle blanket and a hot Drink. In my Mailbox there was again a Game from which I heard nothing before and probably would never have happened. The Hateful Dead. A small wave shooter, definitely inspired by great Representatives of the Genre like the zombie mode from the Call of Duty Series. The Gameplay is simply explained: On one of the three available and unfortunately not very large or skillfully built map you spawn, shortly afterwards Zombies do. This must be killed before these Soldier Networks make of you. In Between, pick up a Powerup, buy new Weapons, level them or yourself and open new Areas on the Map from time to time. That's it, actually, and it's all seen once and more, unfortunately, and unfortunately in much better. I actually had to look up if the Game isn't maybe still in the Early-Access Program-Disillusionment-it's actually a finished Game. At the Time of my written Review, I played 36 Minutes and I really tried to look at everything The Hateful Dead has to offer and also shot down Waves until it got boring (in my Case wave 16 on the Bunker Map). Three Cards are just not much, they are not very big and except on the Bunker just too narrow and offer hardly any tactical Possibilities to move or else to play as if too tactically. The Zombies are strahdoof and just run straight towards you. This may well serve its Purpose when a Mass of 50 Zombies is torched towards you, but it also quickly gets boring, as there's only this one Type of Zombie in The Hateful Dead. The Game advertises with over 30 Weapons, but they play quite similar And sometimes have very thin sounds and do not feel satisfying. My favourite Combination was the Boomstick and a Chainsaw-Ballering was quite a lot of Fun. Now I Fancy Evil Dead. Groovy. The Controls are unusual at first: The right Mouse button fires the Main Weapon, with the left you fire the secondary Weapon and with e you switch between your Ballermen. Sprinting is not and the Jump Button just exists. It is not really useful. Graphically, the Game can be a lot of Fun despite The simple Look. The Cemetery looks very atmospheric, some light and Shadow Effects gave my Fights in the Bunker Atmosphere and actually just a bit more Decoration was missing in the Levels. A Little more Light and Texture wouldn't have destroyed anything either. For The Hateful Dead, though, I can only forgive a Thumbs down overall. The Range Of Games is too small, the same Zomy Type Will be boring again and again after a few Waves and a Giant Horn in The eye are the Cards. They are far too tight, the Spawn Points like to transport you directly to the Gameover screen (which is also displayed far too long not to get annoying) and except for the Bunker with its laughable first Room I couldn't really have to spend my Time in the Game World. As long as no Patch Brings with it new Opponent types, Cards or new Game Elements such as Barricades, the Price of 6.99 for this small Project is far too much and I can unfortunately only advise. Why, unfortunately? Because the Game at least feels like you've tried to do something good ... And then lost Time and Motivation. Judge your Time and Motivation dear Greetings from me until next Time! The Game Swarmer is out. Ciao! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD34jx2q7s0
