The Last Dream: Developer's Edition reviews and comments

You open your eyes, look around and imagine that you are lying in your bed. You try to remember what kind ofm places you are second, minutes maybe hours before. Strange places deep inside your mind. Maybe a long abadoned building, maybe a place in ice next to a wrecked old ship, maybe a place of your past. Real or not? The moment you imagine it was a dream. Dreams can lead us to places we can`t reach in real. Dreams can be good or bad, but you deside what they are. That brings us to THE LAST DREAM. On the first look it may be one of the mass of Hidden Object Games (HOG) that were released over the last years but i think it is more. Those who know me, know that i prefer Artifex Mundi HOG`s, but i also like to play other`s, too. When i saw THE LAST DREAM first on Steam it was the Logo that got my attention. 2 Faces forming a heart. So i went to the Steampage and clicked through the pictures. It was the picture of the Windmill in the night that finally got me to buy this game. Well, it has nothing to do with this game but once when i was young i dreamed of a windmill in the night, too. Dreaming and remembering what i dream is a part of my life. That lead to my favourit doing, writing storys, but that doesn`t belong to here. So i bought THE LAST DREAM and installed it. So what can i say, it got me from the first moment. The Game is one of the rare HOG Games that uses Real Life Movies with real Actors and it told the story of a married couple. Their world was breaken down by an accident. And that is the beginning of the Story. After the Moviescene you take part of the husband and fastly you realised that you are in a dreamworld. You saw the ghost of your wife and you try to follow her, but the dream put many obstacles in your way. It is up to you, to master what is coming up. Very soon you will get a little helper and together you follow the game chapter by chapter, revealing the secret of the last Dream. I like the movie scenes. They are simple but they are atmospheric and fit well into the game. Less is more and it don`t have to be Hollywood Style. The game by itself is good and detailed drawn. The Hidden Object screens are fair and the minigames also. I like the music, because it fits well into the scenes. So i have much fun with this game and i enjoyed being into "another World". It also reminds me of Dreams of my past and that took this game special (for me). Thanks to the Specialbit Studio for this pearl of gaming. It is the second HOG Game from three they brought out and i`m looking really forward for more. So if you wan´t to play a little different Hidden object Game, this is for you. Enjoy this game. Thanks for reading.
