The Last Weekend reviews

The Last Weekend is a visual novel that I've seen on Steam a few days ago, and to be honest it sounded pretty exciting. Now I played the game the first time and I have to say.. Well the game IS very short and the story does really have its weaknesses. There're four teenagers going to spend their weekend in a hostel on a lake. Suddenly mysterious things are happening (Okay, if I think about it the story is really mainstream.) You take the role of one of the charakters, but most of the dialogues are the same, just spoken by another character, so it's fine if you play the game only one time. To be honest, I really liked the around 30 minutes of playing. The music is nice and the drawing could be worse. If you have nothing to do and are interested in teenage stories, you can at least give it a try, since the game's free and only 200MB to download. The language really isn't difficult and even if you don't have the almighty english skills, it's easily to understand. Don't expect a masterpiece, it really isn't, but in my opinion it's worth playing. I do unterstand the many negative reviews but actually it isn't that bad. I enjoyed it and I hope, we'll get a sequel!

The Last Weekend is a Visual Novel by KEXBOY. It's about 2 Guys and 2 Girls who want to spend a Weekend in a secluded Hotel. On The very first Evening, however, the Hotel Owner becomes entangled under somewhat strange Circumstances and then the "Fun" really begins. Until this Time, the Game is already quite simple and in places a bit plump, but after that it also becomes ridiculous. So actually all the Characters of the deceased Hotel Owner encounter them again before they kill them. However, they do not recognize the Woman again, even though they look exactly the same, apart from the Clothes. In Addition, there are the Mini-games that are not really Fun and are also far too easy. In order to put the Crown on the whole one of the Paths (Alice's Action Stargaze) does not even work, but begins again and again shortly after the Death of the Hotel Woman directly before her Death. Especially nice about it is that you can skip text but not the Cutscenes. I thought the Graphic was quite ok. Even though I like the many anime-like VN, it's nice to see something else. The Characters are well Designing (even if I find Anthony somewhat misshapen) and the Backgrounds go OK. The Sound is relatively atmospheric and coherent, only in the Mini-games it does not fit at all. A Setting Of the Characters would still have been nice. Overall, the Game impresses above all with its giving away potential. A little less Sex Sells and a better thought-out Plot would definitely have done the Game good. By the way, you only get the uncut version if you pay for the Game (if you are interested in it, you should look into the Discussions), But in my Opinion The Last Weekend is not worth it. Achive Hunters can risk a Glance, because these are very fast and easy to pick, everyone else should rather leave their Fingers off this UN.
