Best April Fools gift to all Sonic fans and other interested people a-like! I’m not into the genre much, but as was accomplished in other games in the series, almost any genre Sonic does, most of them are interesting enough even if you’re not invested (yes, I mean even JRPG) and this game is literally no exception. There is a lot to love here and basically nothing to hate, as this game is free, so judging it would be too critical I might say. The only thing that made me kind of fed up was the mini-game overuse, but again, for free it’s nothing to complain about.
As for the other stuff, it was perfect, to sum it up (for the genre I mean). The cast is very well written and much like we would expect after what Frontiers has brought us. The references, the details, the art, the wholesomeness, the calm music, it feels like a bargain to get this for free and not for, say, 2 dollars (I’m a cheapskate because of my country’s currency, yeah). Anyone, who is interested in Sonic and kinda knows the characters, is definitely free to try this out! As for the fans though, you already checked it out most likely.
