The Nook of Shaders
About
"The Nook of Shaders" is a digital gallery space that combines my hatred for the layout of AGO, the strangeness of MoNa in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and Level 2 of MCA at OCAD U. I did enjoy displaying my shaders as a stand-alone artwork on my social media accounts throughout the semester but my medium of choice is games so I couldn't resist wanting to add the game level of interactivity and combine my work into a completely different context and see if different feelings and emotions are invoked.
I have always been very curious and I enjoy breaking and pushing things so this project was an excuse to let myself run wild and allow for unity’s nonsense to help me shape my shaders and work for this semester into something weird and wacky. I am always trying to drive my projects in a specific way for a certain outcome so I stepped out of the driver seat to see where I ended up if I went in with a looser idea on what I wanted the final outcome to be.
Pls note: I'm pretty sure the mac exe wont look like the windows bc a lot of it is open hlsl and mac hates fragment shaders so I have a feeling it might be pink? I have no mac to test it so :')
