The One Tower

A game made for the GMTK 2019 Game Jam with the theme "Only One"

We chose to represent the theme by having strictly one button for all action in the game.  On top of that, all the player's movement is restrained to one dimension, and all entities go down in just one hit.

• To charge with your lance, click the mouse button or press spacebar.
• To block with your shield release the mouse button/space bar.  Bringing up your shield also allows you to go through doors and activate buttons.
• If you keep your shield up, you will begin to retreat.  If you charge from this position, you will lunge forward with a strong burst of momentum!
• Don't forget that you will raise your shield instantly upon releasing the button!  Sometimes lunging with your shield is the best way through
