The Quarry (itch)

A game created for the LÖVE Jam.

How to Play

Find the key to get home! Avoid getting caught by monsters by either running away from them or throwing your pet rock at them. Using the key, unlock the gate to make it home!

Taking Damage

If a monster catches you, you'll lose health! Quickly tap the movement keys to get out of their hold.

If you're no longer holding your pet rock, you will slowly lose health. The further away you are from your rock the more rapidly you take damage, so pick up your rock!

Healing

If you stand still for awhile, you will slowly regain health. You can also pet your rock to gain a little more health.

Last option: talk to your rock to gain an incredible burst of healing, but watch out! Talking alerts your presence to monsters!

Controls

• movement: up, down, left, right arrow keys
• run: left shift
• throw rock: spacebar
• talk to rock: s
• pet rock: d
• pick up rock and items: run through them
• get out of monster hold: rapidly press movement keys
• quit: escape key
