The Silver Case reviews

So I'm quite a Friend of Japanese. Whether it's movies about/with Takeshi Kitano Or earlier also Manga or Even JRPGs. Unforgot Suikoden for me. Dedective Stories and Police Stuff I think genrell is very cool. Whether the age-old PoliceQuest or newer Representatives of all Kinds of Police Games. Then that has to fit in, doesn't it? Unfortunately, no. User Interface has been said many times is very very bad. Ok, you can live with, is just a graphic novel game. But unfortunately, even the Story is weak, boring and as the Game progresses, at some point you inevitably start to run the Lyrics with the button pressed So that it goes on quickly. Not always, but in many Places it does. There just doesn't come the tension on which you have the Feeling of having to experience everything. The Game is basically split in two. First, you experience the Story from the Policeman's point of view. After you get through, and again, towards the end I tormented myself, but I was already too far to cancel, then I didn't want that either. After that, there are still six Chapters of the Story from the Point Of view of a Newspaper editor or agent or something like that. Here it gets ultra boring. Most Of the time is just going to the Computer in his Room and reading the EMails, going to the Phone from time to time or talking to his Turtle in the Aquarium. Sounds boring? Yes it is too and how. I didn't want to have it but can only advise everyone to let it out better. You really don't miss anything.

Maybe the first and last review of the game in French. When I knew that the silver case was going to be remastered and marketed on steam a little over a year ago, I was really happy. Indeed I am a big fan of the games of Suda51 and I listen tirelessly the soundtracks composed by Masafumi Takada. For me the 10/10 was assured in advance and that's what I still think today, even if AGM Playism has put its paws, the game is what it is and it is a Visual novel that places the bar very high in the matter of storytelling tortuous. If you are fans of twin peaks, surrealism and post-modernism, you absolutely have to try this game, the demo is there for that. On the other hand, if you do not agree to the Visual and sound style, as well as to the story not badly stammering of the beginning of the game, it may not be at all for you, but if you decide to embark on the adventure, then you will live a multitude of different experiences over the course of investigations and maybe like me, you will never come back. From an objective point of view, the game is quite complicated to take in hand with the keyboard, I recommend the use of a gamepad, the graphics are not excellent but are loyal to the PlayStation version of 1999, the story is quite complicated and you will have without any doubt to spend time on the game wiki to understand some passages if you are not familiar with the universe of the game (which is a sequel and a prequi). I do not recommend buying the Deluxe version however, the content is quite boat and very little qualitative compared to the game. There is an Artbook in PDF of a dozen pages with drawings of the characters of the game, a comics of less than ten pages that tells the few minutes (crucial anyway) that precede the beginning of the first chapter and the soundtrack of the game (excellent that said) but I don't think it justifies the so high price of DLC. If you decide to try the game, then good reading. If you decide to buy the game, you just made one of the best investments of your life, Bravo! But if you decide to get reimbursed the game, I know someone who needs ¥50.000 there...
