The Tree Rhythmers

A relaxing game created as a submission to Epic MegaJam 2022.

Hit the notes on both Staffs to keep the tree growing.  

The notes in the top staff will feed the Crown of the tree, while the ones in the bottom staff feed the Roots of the tree.

The game features 4 tunes (shoutout to weloveindies.com ) that launch randomly each time you restart the game (R button).

The growing tree and dynamic weather are there to sooth player and distract from the daily routines.  

There is a hard mode, which is quite challenging for the single player, but divide the responsibility with a friend and you get pretty fun collaborative (or competitive if you'll look at the scoring) rhythm game.

Controls:

Main menu: 

• Space bar - to start a simple  game
• R - to restart the game
• Esc - to exit the game

Hit the notes in the top staff: 

• Keyboard: Up / W / Enter 
• Gamepad: D-pad Up /  Face Button Top 

Hit the notes in the bottom staff: 

• Keyboard: Down/S/
• Gamepad: D-pad Down/ Face Button Bottom

Why is it important to grow a tree one may ask? Well look outside - there are not that many trees out there. 

So whether you like the game or you don't I suggest you go and and plant a real tree :) It will feel good, trust me on this one!
