The Universim reviews

Early Access Review I heartily advise Off this Game, as sorry as I am. This Game is a beautiful Disaster, straight from the eighth Dimension of early access hell. To quote a nice little animated Film In 1996 with Toys paraphrasing: "We fail. Elegant! " The Universim, then. I had funded the Game years ago at Kickstarter with I think €40. Even then, there was an Early Alpha version. The Game could be played for a maximum of 30 Minutes at the time, then you had seen it all. Extremely, extremely little, then, more of a beautiful Techdemo. The Trailer is from that Time. This one and the Description had promised an extremely large amount. What happened to it today? Disappointingly little. There is Progress, but they are simply unsettling for the Period. My main Points are: 1. The Techtree: A Grinding Party. The Game advises proceeding tactically in Research. Because of what? There is no Threat or a Constraint that forces one into a Strategy. You just shudly unlock everything. And this also with sometimes very long waiting Times, which are simply not comprehensible. Why does it take up to 15 Minutes to unlock a Technology?! There is no Way to shorten this Time through Science Buildings or the like. That smells more like Game-time Stretching for Me! 2. Feedback: Universim lacks Feedback. What do my Nuggets need to be happy? Why, for example, are they hungry, even though the Warehouses are boasting with Food? The Notifications are funny at the Beginning, but at some point just repetitive, annoying and just unnecessary. Why should I know in a Civilization of about 250 Nuggets (which is huge) that Umgaloba and Kirikara are getting married and having Children? Who itnitts? There is an urgent need to screw again. 3. The Götterskills: Apart from the Early Game otherwise totally superfluous, even obstructive rather than helping. It is completely irrelevant whether I heal a few Nuggets, for example, it affects 0 and does not help me. Why should I pair two Nuggets, which then go to the Hut redling when my People spread like the Carnickel anyway. What do I need the Gods skills for? I never used them 95%. Without it, Universim plays like a below-average Urban Building Sim. And for a Game That is a God Simulation, that's the Break. 4th Management: Uiuiuiui ... A Mess. In some Places stupid Micromanagement, such as filling jobs (which are then automatically filled when the buildings are filled for the first time!), on the other Hand, it is simply missing. What does Universim want to be, a God Simulation or a Building game? 4. Bugs: Too many! Buildings that just aren't built, Building Outlines that get stuck on the Cursor when You place, nonfunctioning Godskills, and so on. Unfortunately, the Game is stored from about 250 Nuggets! BUT: The Game has a beautiful Graphics and a great Art Style! You can't praise it enough for that. But Graphics aren't everything, unfortunately. Verdict: Prefers to wait with a Purchase until the Game has evolved. I feel with the Developers that they have taken on badly with the Game and don't know where the Journey is going to go. They should have developed a few Numbers smaller, then a bit of a great one would have come out of it. But so ... The Risk is simply too great that the Game will eventually be buried, that is, the Development will be discontinued. The Development has been going on for many Years, and for that the Game is just too unfinished for that to be justified. If something happens in Development and I catch the Eye again, I may revise the Review again.
