Overall 86 This War of Mine presents a very innovative Concept with a Mixture of Simulation survival and Strategy. You play a Group of 3 Civilians who are fighting to survive in a barricaded city, with low Food supply of no heating hardly any Medication can cause hard to die. At the same time, you have to mess with other Civilians who hopefully have not found weapons in front of you. Rating: Graphic 9/10 For a 2D similar Game, Textures Shaders etc. have been really successful. The Graphics, as in the Preview images, are very dark, in keeping with the Story. Sound: 10/10 The Soundtrack really gives something! Even on the Scavenge Missions you often get a slight shower. Also Small Things are installed here (ghastly playing Guitar etc.) The Soundtrack itself is really fine and can also be heard in a longer Session. Balance: 5/10 I have unfortunately not managed to play through the Game completely so far. However, by my Standards I have come quite a long way. What I have noticed here is that the Raw Materials really get a bit too scarce from Time to Time. The Game sets in for a real Game to play through a plan ahead, otherwise you have to start afresh ... Atmosphere: 10/10 In this Point, the Game has done really well! Sound, dark Graphics as well as the Survival aspect play together really well. Another positive Aspect would be that each individual Character also has his own Mood, which can influence, for Example, by Robbing other Civilians. Operation: 10/10 Very easy To use with the Mouse. Keyboard is optional. Scope: 7/10 This War of Mine has other Characters on just about every Reboot. In addition, the Scavenges (Night Missions to eat and find Material) are different every time and therefore more interesting. At the moment, unfortunately, you only ever live in the same (maybe you can also move I have not figured out yet). At the same time, I find crafting not too extensive, so more should come here! Start: 7/10 The Game itself is relatively simple built up an Introduction as far as not. Still, Tips would be helpful like; ' I'd rather keep That. ' Which one when you play the game for the First time are really important otherwise you can do it just to day 20 ... Simulation/Survival and Strategy: 10/10 * That's my first Simulator I played, where you are the Civilian at War yourself. Really a very interesting Approach. At First I thought; "For this Game I click around a bit of The Electionless and then I'll play through it relatively quickly" On the Contrary, it's a real strategic Challenge. Endless Game: 8/10 This War of Mine is a really good game especially suitable as an Endless game. But unfortunately I noticed that after some Time it gets quite monotonous, maybe the Developer will come up with something else so that the Game itself is as exciting on Day 37 as on the first I really have to admit This War of Mine has exceeded my Expectations Open. In this Respect, a few small Improvements are being made, the Game is really perfect! * The primary Genres here are the Strategy & Simulation & Survival, so this point Is rated 2Fach.

After seeing the ratings given by other users, I purchased 'This War of Mine. I am very impressed with the game. The graphics and realistic sounds are AMAZING. They really put you in the middle of this nightmarish story - the grim realities of war. You really feel the dread and desperation of the characters, hoping that you never experience this situation in real life. It really is about the will to survive. There was a comment from another user about a character that makes it too easy to survive. I think that is ok, because without him you will have to kill alot more to survive. The game gives you a choice of sneaking around or confronting the bad guys, which I think is ok. But the best part about the game is how long it takes to play. I played the game and survived once, and feeling pretty confident, I played again. Surprisingly, the second time lasted a lot longer. You are not in control of when the game ends. The games ends at random times, depending on game factors. This War of Mine is highly recommended.

Great game and challenging as you cannot manually save and load your game. Before Ive bought it, I watched some reviews on youtube, which was useful, since theres no explaination at all within the game itself. If you play it blanc, without seeing any gameplay/trailer/review, you probably wont have any idea of whats being expected of you. Another great thing about this game is that each time youll start a new game, the compilation of your group and the available items and locations are totally randomized, which keeps it fun and challenging to keep playing this game after finishing. Since theres no option to save and load your game (which I used to dislike, but in this game its nice and challenging) and the only options after starting the game are to continue or start all over again (removing your current game), this game cant be played by more than one user in case you only use one account on your Mac for more users (since its quite common for Mac users to work with a personal account for each user, this probably wont be a problem at all). When trying to install this game on my MacBook Pro (13 early 2011) through the AppStore, I got the error that it was not possible to install the game since my videocard wasnt supported. So I've installed it onto my MacMini instead (which succeeded). Afterwards I just copied the game from my MacMini onto my MacBook and it runs great! So I guess the AppTore requirements might be a bit too tight..
