Tombs of Old Sol

A PICO-8 demake of the classic arcade game Tutankham, devourer of many quarters; transferred to a sword & planet setting inspired by Leigh Brackett. This was my first PICO-8 project, and the first arcade-style thing I have written in many, many moons; there are some rough spots, no doubt, but on the whole I enjoy playing it, and I hope you will too.

• Move horizontally or vertically with arrow keys
• Your laser (Z) shoots left and right
• You get one flash bomb (X) per life or level; this kills all enemies
• Collect treasure (coins and gems)
• Artifacts are used to open the door(s) to a teleporter which will take you to the next level
• Any artifact you have in hand when you go through the teleporter gives bonus points
• Extra life at 10,000, then 20,000, 40,000 etc.
• Hit Enter to pause game and bring up menu
