Simple little bullet hell platformer, where as you lose health you gain attack strength.
The key is managing your health properly, so that you're able to fend off the swarms of enemies.
God, now that I think about it, wouldn't it be crazy if you could just... just keep losing and losing health? You'd just keep getting stronger... It'd be a ridiculous buggy mess...
Anyway, thank the lords I'm a flawless programmer, and wouldn't ever let something so gamebreaking slip through my playtesting...
This is my first game jam game (and second game ever, too!).
Game made for the Wowiw 2.0 GameJam.
Controls
- AD or Arrowkeys to move
- Space to jump
- Leftclick to fire
- Esc to pause
Mechanics
- As you lose health, both the number of bullets you fire and the damage that each bullet deals increases
- If your health hits (exactly) 0, you die
- If you pass a round, your health increases by 1 point
- If you pass a round unscathed, you get healed back to full (3) health
Score
- If you kill an enemy, your score increases by the enemy's value
- If you pass a round, your score increases by 100* the round number
