Even though I like the genre, I can play some of the shooters but tragedy of Prince Rupert caught my attention during the steam summer sales including his Super original appearance and I regret not at all!
First thing that jumps to the eye: the graphics of the game and its artistic aspect inspired by the film "fantastic adventures" (adaptation notably of the novel "face to the flag" by Jules Verne and directed by Karel Zeman) that gives it a truly unique aspect. Then a shooter in which we play a balloon is not Super common either:D
The game is played in an open world in which we can sail at our leisure but we will be quickly attacked from all directions. At first it starts nicely but as we augment our score or destroy some enemies, some more aggressive and destructive will make their appearance until we lose the ball and start again, so on. Also note that our balloon can go underwater (and yeah lol) but will not be able to shoot and remain indefinitely immersed, especially useful to get out of reach of some enemies and make interesting underwater discoveries.
Speaking of discoveries, we only begin the game with our beloved Prince Rupert in search of love and will be able to climb up to 8 crew members, which have unblocked them either by finding them in the world or after having performed specific actions. The latter will offer passive (unexplained) bonuses.
The game has a rather short lifespan but it is very much the shot I think if you are looking for something refreshing and that offers a real challenge.

I was immediately seduced by the retro and simple graphics of this game. The world of Jules Vernes is a gold mine for imagination.
The animation is fluid and the controls respond well. In addition to shooting like a sick, the game offers quests to improve your crew and therefore, your balloon. The ability to go underwater opens up new possibilities and increases the pleasure of playing, even if these underwater quests are limited.
I recommend this game:-if it is on sale (even if you have to support independent developers)-If you don't mind dying every 10 seconds unfairly of course, the game would have greatly gained in life if he had proposed further Envir and other quests. But it's still a good little game and it makes sense that it is limited.
The negative points of the game:-a poorly dosed difficulty-a gameplay based on chance. Despite all your dexterity, you will find yourself inexorably in impossible situations and therefore terribly frustrating.
-very repetitive-no explanation or almost, apart from the Chronicles that complement you as your progression my tips to play:-the white circle that appears around your balloon represents your health. It restores when you stop firing. No circle = maximum health.
-for the giant squid, pull bias to touch under water-to survive on your descents underwater, fill the air with bubbles-collect artifacts under water-reassemble the URN in the air and go to the right. When it shines, plunge underwater to turn into a jellyfish. You can go down without needing air to discover the sumbergé Temple.
-take a barrel of powder and use it against the flying Rooster's ship. It dissticks a star that must be recovered in the sea and reassemble it in the sky (the let go with the button "action")-to descend below the water, enter the mouth of the giant fish and explode it to come out-catch a fish with your anchor , go into the air and plunge again. Press "action" to release it.
Good game and good luck, you will drool!
