Train of Afterlife reviews

* This is a review of my original assessment. First of all, my antivirus (AVG) didn't like the executable of this game too much. Since it tends to put false positives on many steam games for some time, I put the folder "steamapps" in my exception list. Coming back to train of afterlife, it's a pretty disappointing Visual story. The graphics are limited, the music is BOF, and the story is too abstract.  Our hero (or heroine?) is found on a train. He/she is no more than a shadow, a wandering soul, having no personality. He/she meets other passengers, all shadows having nicknames (they lost the names of their living), and he/she tries to discover his past life, how he/she arrived on this train, and where this train is heading.  It is also difficult to understand how to get all the ends. I did not understand it and, yet, I played, to Visual stories. Just look at my list of games. The worst is that it is impossible to move the text quickly, so to have all the ends, you have to read everything and it becomes heavy quickly. So I can't recommend it. On the other hand, I liked the other stories of this dév, voices from the sea and X-note.!

A game too uneven. Presentation: we are on a train, with other silhouettes, we do not know what we do there, we try to discover it by browsing the wagon. It's limited: a few characters and 4 pitches. It is mainly text with images of funds. Visual/ambiance: it's pretty, even if there are no crowds of drawings. The music is nice and well chosen. It works, the atmosphere is right there. Duration: a first part will do at most 45 min. Rejofiability: there are 9 endings (and some bonuses) to unlock, the goal is to replay by changing its choices. After my 1st part I will have recommended the game. But after forcing me to finish it I see it differently because:-the variations in history are almost inexistent, only 3 very minimal changes. -There is nothing interesting in history/the journey, only to see another outcome. -You cannot pass the dialogue blocks. When you're supposed to do the game 9 times, you really don't want or need to replay all the dialogues. + However, the endings are fine. Price: If you can find fun to play 9 times, €13 why not, because everything else is good. But for 1 or 2 parts it is excessive. In short: the first try is very nice but the sequel is to review (empty, poorly thought, boring especially). There are good ideas and the endings are interesting, but if you take the game as it is in its entirety, I do not recommend it. For me they worked their story (and ambiance) but not enough the gameplay.
