About

Transmissions: Element 120 is a Half-Life 2 mod that allows the player to use a "rocket jump" type of a gun. It is named after Unbinilium, a hypothetical element in the periodical table, that is used to power the weapon. The game features Half-Life's trademark gritty industrial aesthetics and certain horror elements. Premise The player's character is armed with a new type of weapon, Zero Point Energy Projector. The device allows its user to perform incredibly high jumps and survive landing after seemingly fatal falls. To achieve this effects, the player has to fire the weapon down while in the air, essentially performing a rocket jump. The weapon's energy beams can also be used to eliminate obstacles and opponents. To let the player make more use of it, the creator made most of the environment destructible. There are also the traditional Half-Life enemies, such as zombies, headcrabs, and Combine Soldiers. The mod is single player only. Plot Transmissions: Element 120 is short and features a very little story. All narrative is delivered through action. It is only clear that game is set in the Half-Life universe, some time after the events of Half-Life 2: Episode Two. The nameless main character finds itself in an abandoned facility and has to fight his or her way out. There are diary pages and QR-codes scattered around the facility that provide cryptic messages and a little insight into the events. Some of them also serve as the clues to help the player to solve certain puzzles.

Short and good! Transmissions: Element 120 Is a cute little Mod set in the Half-Life universe. You wake up in a Freight Wagon. Where and when all this happens is not known. You sneak through dark Tunnels, past countless Zombies and others. At the Side of a relatively quickly is a very interesting Weapon with which gravity can be manipulated for a short time (I deliberately keep myself short at this Point, so as not to spoil anything possible). Every Half-Life Fan should risk a Look and face this Mod and its Challenges. For lau you can't do much wrong and there are also completely different Mods that might seem longer, but not half as lovingly implemented. :-) + Anti-Gravi-Gun + Interesting Approaches the Opponents regarding + A few nice "puzzle" ideas for the Achievemnts (Dwarfs I hint at) + Pretty level design + Strider can "clap" or rather "container"-Short, But what is not a "real" Disadvantage is. It's just a shame. xD If you want to make an Impression before Playing, here's the first Episode of my LP for this Game: https://youtu.be/NNuTcss3ZPY

A solid Detour into the Half-life universe With some fresh Ideas Transmissions: Element 120 is a successful Standalone Mod to Half Life 2. A Mod that even goes so far as to offer Achievements, which is already very cool. The Developer Shokunin not only rested on what Valve had created with Half-Life 2, but also expanded the Content with a cool new Weapon and cleverly implemented adventure passages. Unfortunately, however, the Super Mario jump, which can and must be executed using the new Concussion Gun, turns out to be a relatively impractical Nuisance. Even the Story is damn thin and is only conveyed in a pretty primitive Way (a few Clipboards lying around here and there). However, I don't want to complain seriously about the short Playing Time of about an hour, as it is a free fan product. Therefore, I can also recommend that anyone Interested download this Mod on Steam and return to the Half-life universe for a Bite to eat. Transmissions may not be perfect, but it's definitely the better Choice than these outrageous commerce productions in the Form of "Half-Life: Prospekt" or "Hunt Down The Freeman." Pro and Kontra: Pro:-the Mod Is free (apparently no longer a given)-offers a new powerful Weapon that fires pressure waves-the first Chapter is quite creepy and features some nice Puzzles-Half-Life 2 graphics engine is audiovisual Still very chic-Achievements Neutral:-the final Battle was made artificially more difficult than it should have been, even if this makes for a very intense Fight Kontra:-the new super jump is too tricky to implement and correspondingly annoying- Loose Story and primitive Presentation of this-very short playing Time of about an Hour The full Review: http://www.gamecontrast.de/transmissions-element-120-review/
