Treasure adventure world (2018) is a remix of treasure adventure game (2011).
Here's what this paid episode brings to his free eldest: + it takes back the vast majority of the original game including its foundations: 2D, open world with key objects and platforms.
+ The cocktail always works well! The adventure is carried by the new visuals and superb music.
+ The gameplay is enriched as a few welcome additions.
+ The world we knew has undergone changes in places that, in addition to being all pleasant, allow to exploit the new mechanics.
+ Addition of a NG +!
+ Quests have been added, overall it's a good thing. There is however a downside that goes with the next point.
-A negative point already a little present on tag and even more true on Taw: big potential backtracking. The secondary and main quests may ask you to cross the entire world to accomplish them. It's even worse if you missed a key item and you have no idea where to look.
-Some hitboxes are always approximate, but this is not crippling because the game is quite easy. (Presence of items of care and checkpoints partout).
-The current version (1.03) suffers from several bugs. Depending on the machine you have they can be very handicating as totally innocuous. To follow, the developers are actively working on it. There is a discord and a forum to raise bugs and/or get assistance.
-No translation available at the moment. As developers cannot afford a pro translator for the time being, they will deliver the tools as quickly as possible so that the community can translate the game itself.
+-? The game is sold €10. That's a good point. The problem is that the version of 2011 is free. It is up to you to see if the additions mentioned are worth €10. (The game itself is worth it, no doubt)
Time of personal play to make a loop NG, without pressing the step and losing a little: 16h.
Conclusion: a very pleasant trip that I would gladly do again!

This weekend I have binge-played treasure adventure world.
20 hours, 99% completion, no idea what I could have missed for the 100%...
That was good. Very well!
For the negatives, the game has a little amateur side by moment: the animations are a bit stiff, just like the character that is controlled, whose inertia is sometimes annoying; the graphic part has been well worked (since the original in pixels) but is a bit too smooth to my liking, which gives the environments a somewhat empty appearance; writing is a bit wobble for some quests and the B.O. is globally fordable.
And still, I loved it. Because once we have become accustomed to motion inertia, it is a pleasure to explore this universe. It is extremely varied, some environments are particularly successful and the music to which one does not always pay attention to its moments of Epiphany during which it sticks perfectly to the atmosphere of the area that we explore. The puzzle phases usually take the step on the fight, which I find rather neat in an exploration game, and the bosses who sanction the end of the various dungeons are quite varied and overall rather successful.
There is a real sense of adventure: we explore the world in search of twelve legendary treasures (which, once gathered, allow to fulfill a wish). On the way we discover improvements that let us explore areas hitherto inaccessible. In this sense, I imagine that Taw could be described as a notes but the atmosphere that emerges from the title is rather that of a Zelda (seen from profile? #Zelda2): it is truly the discovery of the world that prevails, with dungeons to explore.
In short, treasure adventure world honors the "adventure" of its title, and it's a really cool game!
For info, I had never played the original version.
Also note that this version suffers apparently from problems on Windows 10. I have not met anything very annoying but still a few slowdowns from time to time, so distrust for small config '...:/
