About

Disney's Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon is a 3D RTS game focusing on space combat. In the main campaign's story-driven missions, you begin play as Jim Hawkins, a cadet in the Royal Navy's fight against pirates and the deadly Procyon Fleet, with an eye toward eventual promotion to fleet commander. Skirmish and multiplayer modes allow the choice of playing as all three factions.

Successfully completed missions result in ship and fleet enhancements, more experienced crews, and upgraded weapons. Royal Navy Fleet weapons are only slightly inferior to the reworked weapons of the Procyon Fleet but are sturdier and less vulnerable. Ships for the Royal Navy range from torpedo boats and war sloops to escorts, frigates, and the impressive StarHammer, while pirates man sloops, gunboats, schooners, assault cutters, and more, including several unique designs like the carrack and barque. The Procyon Fleet is built for speed and maneuverability, geared for fast hit-and-run attacks, and as the game progresses, news of a mysterious Ironclad Fleet surfaces as well.

Ship designs in Battle at Procyon are fashioned after the seafaring ships from the golden age of sail, with solar winds filling the sails and rigging. Arsenals reflect futuristic models of light, medium, and heavy weapons such as laserball and plasma cannons, beam weapons, Gatling guns, harpoons, fire and net launchers, gravity waves, torpedoes, mortars, and more. Other features include multiple waypoint settings, star maps, panic fire, secondary ship control, docking, repairing, towing, grappling, and boarding actions.

Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon reviews and comments

€10 too much, wait for sale. It just controls itself and I think German language edition was nice, but the developers probably had zero idea what the there had been so much in the world. Story technically simply not a Disney, the handle is complex for children, for them to learn the control. From a certain old so recommended from 10 otherwise rather nix for the small ones.

Rebought during the discounts for nostalgia and I was really happy to notice how, although many years have passed since its release, has not lost the polish of the past and how it remains a fun game. Many different ships each with its peculiarities and characteristics to be managed with regard to crew and armaments. The campaign is enjoyable albeit not great, while the "skirmish" mode is really fun allowing you to create custom battles with numerous fleets and vessels. Graphically It is obviously aged but the chromatic choices are still apt.

One of the games that made my childhood. This piece of History I found when I took the Mickey Mouse at the newsstand just to have the game that they gave in the annex. This game is a kind of sequel to the eponymous film, in which Jim Hawkins graduates at the Naval Academy and begins his career as a captain, facing old acquaintances such as his old friend John Silver. I tell you nothing else, if you want to discover the rest, Buy this game, you will not regret it. The game consists of commanding one or more ships against fleets of other factions (3 factions in total), either in single player or in multiplayer, using the Tunngle platform or Evolve for online battles.

Happy to have found a game of my childhood, we dive into the universe of the Disney movie but after the events of the film our hero now in the Navy owns his own ship and must clean up in space but a strange threat worries the Navy, the presence of indestructible ironclad pirates. The interface is simple what is normal the game addressing the public rather young, which implies that it is also quite rewarding for the player indeed our ship will evolve very quickly to move from the small boat shabby to the largest ship well-armed. The missions are varied, we spend as much quiet moments to admire our ship and the view and moments of intense fights because we will have to manage our ship but also further in the game of other buildings. It will be necessary to learn to manage the formations of ships and not to send the weaker ships to the pipe. The graphic aspect is completely outdated nowadays but it must be remembered that this game has now more than 10 years. The game is fully doubled in French with the voices of the characters of the film which is enjoyable and strengthens the immersion. In short I recommend this game very nice in a universe taking for the fans of the film and maritime strategy games.
