I bought Trine 3 because I was very excited about Part 2. Great Puzzles and a beautiful Graphics made the Game in the Co-op with my Daughter an Experience ... Part 3 picks up in many Places, but the Frustration factor is very high. The Camera is often not usable, as it is not possible to clearly estimate the Distance to the Opponent. You like to jump past a salvageable Lead to your Death ... The 3 Dimension looks nice, but it is actually a constant obstructive one. Furthermore, the Camera perspective often prevents you from collecting all the necessary Diamonds. You just don't see them. Some you only get by Chance, because you just fall off a Wall, which was actually not wanted.
To the End, you just get bombarded with Amounts of Opponents and often don't know what to do. We have now died and busted our Way to the final Enemy, only to find that there is even more Frustration waiting for you here. We are failing now because you are bombarded again with unfair Amounts of deadly Plants, Poison Beam from the Final Enemy and Fireballs at once. We have not managed more than Half of the Final Opponent in countless Attempts.
Actually a Pity when the Level Designer has to resort to such Means,... For long Stretches, the Game and the Puzzles make Fun, only to get stuck in one Place again. Sometimes you get the Impression that the Developers wanted to artificially prolong the Game.

I played the first two Games of the Trine series with Enthusiasm and that's why I also hoped a lot from the third Part. Of course, the Transition from 2D to 3D Gaming Experience within the Series is particularly promising. With the third Part it is now also possible to discover Secrets in the Background or in the Foreground and the third Dimension provides with clever Solutions also for further exciting Puzzles that you are accustomed to from Trine. And who wouldn't want to fly and swing their way through the Skies? On the one hand, my positive Expectations were confirmed, and on the other hand, there were disappointing Moments. Especially at the Beginning, the new Control is anything but intuitive and it's hard to see through a System on which Surfaces you can land or not. In addition, there are now much fewer Skills, as there are no new Skills to gain. So you can only summon one box with the Magician Until the End of the Game. The previous Trine games were stronger. The System of Resuscitation has also been changed, making gameplay a little more difficult if you tend to die more often. However, The longer you play, the more you learn to work with the new Mechanics. Now for The Positive and why I find this Game fantastic despite the control problems: The Look is breathtakingly designed, as in the previous Games. In 3D, these Locations now seem much more extensive and impressive, so you suddenly find, for example, a large Level of a treehouse landscape in the Air, where you can swing and puzzle from Platform to Platform. In my Opinion, Narration has even been better in the third Part than in Trine 1 and 2. To me, she seemed much more engaging and interesting. Also Beautiful was the Focus on Discovering the Trine Angles, the Rewards for Discovering hidden Corners and Solving more complicated Puzzles. You have to collect a certain Number of these Tokens in order to continue with the Main Story. Here you will not be rewarded as a power gamer who just wants to get to the next Level quickly. Instead, it is encouraged to explore and take a strategic approach. Of course, the Changes have brought many Problems, but as I find the Trine Series to continue to be enriched. That's why I can highly recommend this Part (even if you haven't played the previous Games).
