Turok: Dinosaur Hunter reviews

I got it today because I played Turok 1 the last time it came out! Really cool Game and probably I've only thought if it's worth the Money for such an old Game, but that's it! There really the Childhood memories come up when you're going to go and it's just awesome the Game! Although I like Part 2 of all the most, the first one is also really fun and above all: It is UNCUT in Germany!!! That was crass cut at the time with Robots and no Blood ... There Are some Graphics options that previously did not exist, different Resolutions to choose from, Window mode, control Options for Mouse, Keyboard and Joystick And a Cursor in the Menu. Really a beautifully made Remake of The Original Turok even with the good old intros of Acclaim etc ...

Turok 1 in: Finally playable. We have here the original Game with a better PC Port, decent Control, better Frame rate and some technical Improvements. The Foresight is now significantly higher, though not infinite. But completely sufficient to play it, and there are some nice, new, graphic effects. Unfortunately, I do not have a Version to activate the German Cut version. We had other Opponent models and at least the Option to pin them up would have been "nice." Otherwise, there are two Criticisms. First of all: €20is significantly too much for a Game from almost 20 Years ago. No matter how great the Port, more than 10 it shouldn't cost. Second, Turok 2 is better, more extensive and more interesting in all Respects than Part 1. A nice Game that is now much more playable by the Port than ever before. But by price, no complete Recommendation is worth it.

Was really Fun to play the Game again. A Remake would have been the total Howler, instead, it was unfortunately just Remastered. The Game has been adapted to today's Resolutions, here and there a few new Effects have been built in and a few new Options in the Main Menu. The Control with Mouse and Keyboard is the non-plus Ultra for Shooters, in my Opinion, anyway, in terms of precision and Feel. On the whole I have had a lot of fun, more even than on the then N64 Version, since Mouse and Keyboard, with Joypad Control, is just not comparable, it is much more pleasant. I'm really looking forward to the second Part. As far as price is concerned, I would classify it at a maximum Of €15, so purely in terms of feeling, but I have to say that I have no Idea what kind of Effort the Remastering entails. I do not seriously imagine increasing the size of Textures, because after all, I give Programmes for such a thing. New Effects are there I think a bit more elaborate to integrate. I'm otherwise very happy with the Game Thanks for remastering!
I remember it was my first FPS and quite liked it. Then I played lots of other games and now I decided to revisit the classics from my childhood. Long story short: it’s a solid ‘meh’. Neither amazing, nor terrible, straight okay. It’s still worth a playthrough if you have nothing to play, but if you do, don’t wate time on it.
