Too damn short.
So much buildup of characters, companions, bases and lore and then when everything is ready for the big fight it suddenly ends in a ten minute slideshow ends this great adventure.
Obsidian finally made a decent game with that game engine and it ends abruptly and with a sense of wasted investment. The game feels like a very content cutted title, but here there is no Bethesda breathing on their necks and the failure is entirely on them.

The Game has captivated me for quite a while.
Pro:-Magic System. One creates one's Own Spells, depending on the Knowledge of the Creator and from a Combination of element and "Kind" of Magic. New Magic Runes must first be found, read or purchased.
-Characters evolve, especially the Story around Barik on a Path against his Master was well implemented-Playable as a "Real-time RPG" on lower Difficulty and With a lot of tactics and pause on Higher Levels of difficulty-Lovingly and very gloomy designed Game World-Characters can develop Skill technically in multiple Directions, with only the Main Character being completely free to choose-The Beginning where you decide how exactly the Conquest of the Territory went by the evil Forces of Statts is very Interestingly designed and also has, though often little, influence on the Story. However, Some Decisions open up certain Paths in the Game that would otherwise not be or would be difficult to reach.
-Very much Side Story told through Quests and normal Dialogues.
-Characters are usually credibly written and act logically according to their Feelings. The Assassin Of Tunon, in particular, was a very interesting Supporting Character.
-The Combo Attacks with the Group Partners were tactically useful and quite nice to look at.
-Due to different Decisions at the Beginning and the Course of the Story you also have a high Replay value, whereby I could never make friends with the Scarlet Chorus and put my last Game on Hold. There are, to my Knowledge, four different Ways to finish the Game and push the Story in that Direction.
Neutral:-It is sometimes very difficult to work with a typical Tank in Combat. The Agroskills are sometimes too weak to hold the Opponents.
-More Vocal and good Soundtrack, but no Songs that really get stuck in the Head.
-Some Decisions have too little or too much Influence on the Story, but luckily this is very limited and most of the Time you know what to get into with which answer.
-Certain Magic Combinations create a Main Char that can do almost anything solo. I Personally think it's good, but it can also get boring very quickly.
-Not as "epic" as the big Brother "Pillars of Eternity." You feel much smaller as a Hero, you actually seem rather unimportant until the Story really starts. However, that can also be a Plus when you're on "From Zero to Hero" Stories.
-The own Bases are interesting, but nothing really moving. Travelling from Tower A to B can sometimes be annoying by loading Times.
-(Little Spoiler) I would very much have liked to know more about "the" Upper Ourseans.
-German Translation goes like this. It is by no Means bad, but I liked English better.
-The Graphics are okay. Not a Masterpiece, but not ugly either. The Backgrounds I liked very much, but the Look of the Characters wasn't quite my Case.
Cons:-Certain Armor is poorly balanced. For example, Heavy Armor is, almost always, inferior to light or no Armor-The Degree of difficulty of the Fights varies greatly depending on how the Char/'s party is created. The Fights, however, are never unapable, except perhaps with a "Broken" Party.
-Loading Times were sometimes a little longer than I wanted with my "mediocre machine."
-(Little Spoiler) The Cliffhanger at the End has rather left me "unsatisfied." Since there is no Prospect of a second Part here so far, I see it as a Negative Point.
I would give the Game a high 80s rating, for People who don't see the Criticisms and the neutral Rating so closely it's definitely a 90. Due to different Possibilities also with a lot of Replay value!
