Tyto Ecology reviews

I don't even understand where the positive Reviews come from here. "Tyto Ecology" is an absolutely ghastly iOS Port where not even the In-game currency has been removed. I don't know where to start or how best to say it without falling out. I really rarely write Reviews but just the prevailing positive Reviews that ultimately moved me to Buy have now made me write something here. KURZ: Fingers off! LANG: First impression: Tyto Ecology is also available for iOS and this one on Steam is the absolute worst and laziest Port I've ever seen. Graphics is subpar across the Board, even for a mobile Game. The Animation quality is poor and for each Animal there seem to be exactly 2 Animations, one of which is asleep. Settings are ridiculous, I guess here the Developers have simply pressed and finished on the "Export for PC" Button. Music and Sounds can be deactivated individually, but a Slider? Neeee, too awkward. But that would be very helpful, because all Sounds are about 40x louder than the Music. The Screenshots here don't show Gameplay, these are Mock-Ups, because placing the actual Elements doesn't work in a way that could ever look like it does on the Screenshots. You can only place stuff with a certain Radius and within that Radius you can't place anything else. Gameplay: The Core Element of the Gameplay in Tyto Ecology is WARTEN. There are 2 Resources, Energy (which recharges over Time) and "T" (presumably the Premium Currency from the mobile Game). The Premium Currency is obtained through Achievements or "weekly Income." For most Achievements you need Premium currency for the Time being, the weekly income is a ridiculous Concept, more on that below. The Tutorial Actually shows the complete Gameplay summarized in 3 Minutes: You place Herbivores, you place plants, you place Carnivores, you place Residual Receders. That's it. Now there's maintenance. And that waiting is implemented in the Game with "make on and off." And this is totally irregular and unreliable. In a Biodome you can set how much Time you should pass while you have left the Game, 1 Week, 1 Month or 4 Months. When you return to the Game, you get a Report on what happened and how much you earned. But this does not work reliably at all, 1x Game finished and started right back: 1 Week over, in the other Bioomas 1 Day over. 1x Game finished and started after an hour: No Time is over. Suddenly changing the Biodome during the Game: All over 1 Week. Total Vulnerability. There are only 3 different Biomes (Grass, Desert, Rainforest) and a total of maybe 20 Animals, 20 Plants and 3 "Residual Utilers" (Worms and Mushrooms). You can't make beautiful things here (because the Placement always has to comply with a certain distance), nor do you have quick Access to many Animals and can "simulate" a "complex Ecosystem." Unlocking the Animals costs T/Premium currency, which you only get after Time X and very little. After almost an Hour Of play I was finally able to unlock Frogs, yeah! Do they do what? No, they just sit around stupidly. In General, interaction with other Objects is absolutely minimal. There are no info graphs, no Statistics, nothing. Control: Camera Control is grotto, you never actually see what you want. The "Ow-bot" Steers itself ok with WASD, but is nothing special. Generally speaking, you rarely have an Overview. The "Draw Distance" is also set to Potato, even to Maximum, so you never really see what "happens" or see only a few Things. All Menus are controlled exactly as you would expect with a Smartphone. Drag ' n ' Drop? Nope, click of The Mouse, then confirm in the popping Menu. Camera move while you want to place what? hahaha, no. Absolutely 0 optimized for PC. Conclusion: An Ecosystem is a complicated Thing and you really need more than 3 Animals, 4 Plants and couple of Descriptions and information copied from Wikipedia, so that it becomes a Simulation. The only thing THAT TYTO Ecology can simulate really well here is the Boredom that comes up while sitting in front of your Smartphone and waiting Until Energy X has recharged in Game Y. The Gameplay is boring and demotivating. Even as a mobile Game absolutely lowest Drawer. After some Time Of Gameplay and Testing immediately requested a Refund.
