Unexpected Day

"Unexpected Day" is a short indie platformer. Telling The Story is hardly possible. We are in a Dream World where strange Alienar beings exist. Much Remains cryptic, but the Basic Assumption is not unintelligent. The different Screens set us different Tasks. But In most Cases, typical platform tasks simply have to be achieved in the next Screen. The biggest Challenge is to understand what to do. In addition, the hairy, imprecise control Likes to get in your Way. Graphically, the Game, in its Pixeloptics, evokes old, amiga-like titles. Music and Sound mostly astonish by their Absence. When it can be heard every now and then, it is not written badly in itself, but it is already looped after a very short Time. The Technical Condition is deplorable. Just to start the Game you like to need several Attempts. And even then, it tends to Crash. It is also easy to get stuck in some Screens. The Project is creative, intelligent and interesting. The Design suggests staging potential And the variety of screens is positive. The good Ideas, however, apparently came in the Way of frapante Programming Weaknesses, which turn the half-hour Experience into an unfortunately unsatisfactory agony. Therefore, the Title can only be recommended to those who stand on irritating Games and are not deterred by technical Shortcomings. Unfortunately for the normal Gamer, it's nothing. "An Unexpected review, or a positive assessment." One Rainy Summer Evening I happened to buy this game unexpectedly. Not that I was surprised that she came to my shopping cart on Steam, but for me it was a surprise. When the money was already withdrawn from the account, I found this game in my library, what a surprise it was called "Unexpected Day". Suddenly, I came up with the idea to run this game, so to speak, to try out an unexpected purchase. I did not expect that the game weighs only a few megabytes, that was a surprise! After Downloading and running the game, I first threw it out: Well, I thought, it happens. Launched the game again. This time I reached The main menu: It turned out to be quite unusual. Oh, no, lying. In general, the game itself is a kind of meditative platformer, which has no words, no sounds, no music (except the one that plays only in the beginning). The Whole gameplay is a normal movement of the character in different directions and solving banal puzzles. I can not Say that it is interesting or exciting to play. The Idea of the creator can be seen from the first minutes: it is necessary to go in any direction or change the location-begins a small cutscene, long in a few seconds. I Had such an opinion that the author wanted to show the story that should have occurred in the head of the player, who, according to his idea, should think and analyze what is happening: All this crazy farce of incomprehensible creatures, characters and surroundings. In fact, this was not possible, because the visual series is clearly not predisposes to the story. But I can say that the deep meaning of this abstract work is extremely... Important. Just The author is not very skillfully expressed it. My humble opinion about this game was able to put in a small paragraph, everything that preceded him-just my stupid attempt to joke. I decided to end this review with an unexpected twist – a positive assessment. Suddenly, right? I Just want my positive feedback to be highlighted on Steam among the prevailing negative, because I have the hope that the author of this game will see it and make some conclusions about Unexpected Day.
