Vacation Land

Nestled in the north-eastern most tip of the United States, among the spiked canopy of trees that endure agonizingly long winters, there is a place where cold winds carry strange sounds into the night air while the last rays of a setting sun don’t seem to linger as long as they should. Its people have memories of things best left as just stories because we all sleep better when things are silly myths. The winter stings your eyes so you can’t see where you’re going, the summer stifles your breath and smothers sound, the woods and sea contain truths you shouldn’t seek and will regret finding. It’s paradise.
