Vanishing Realms reviews

Early Access Review This is a clear Recommendation. Vanishing Realms is the first Vive game I've played that isn't a tech demo or gets boring after 1h. I haven't trusted the Reviews of Steam at VR Games for a long time. Everyone always seems immediately thrilled, but mostly didn't play more than 1h. Of course, the first Impression is usually really bombastic (is just VR), but the Fun often subsides quickly. This is different with Vanishing Realms. I'll get to That later. First, the Games I own for Vive and from which I draw my Experience: Fantastic Contraption: Might be interesting for some, but I don't like the Game principle. Puzzles are not my Thing. Job Simulator: Is a few Hours of Fun, but not a Replay Value. MIND Path to Thalamus: Get boring quickly. Hours of Rumor face without having to do anything, but beautiful Worlds. Out of Ammo: Wave Shooter with still too little Content, Gameplay doesn't last long to Pool Nation VR: Unfortunately a Disappointment for me. Miese Control. The Visitor: 5 Minutes of Playing time Zombie Training Simulator: This is really good and fun in between, but unfortunately always the same and too little Content. Still good wave shooter. The Blue: Nice Experience, but only 10 Minutes of Playing time Vanishing Realms I had only alluded relatively briefly at first, but got quite far (already had the Bow). I didn't think it was bad, but rather lame in the Long run, until a few Days ago I got more involved with the Game and started all over again. I noticed that Vanishing Realms is teeming with Secrets. The Goal should be to find as much Gold and Secrets as possible. Only then will you get the best Equipment. On the first Run I could afford only the weakest Sword and the weakest bow And wondered, how the Hell should I get so much Gold? Now I've found that under dozens of Stones, Books, Candles,... Coins are hidden. In addition, you can burn Curtains, Carpets, Straw, etc. with the Torch and also behind it are Secrets. You can smash boxes, Barrels, Vases, Coffin Lids and anything. In the Rooms hang Cobwebs with Gold Jugs in the Corners. When you burn the Cobwebs, the Pitchers fall within Range. There are secret Places. This one is really great: On the Island, where you can buy one of the 3 Swords, quite at the Beginning, you should look at all the Islands around it. One finds, among other things, a red valuable Jug (ingame Achievement) and on a distant Island there is a Tombstone with a Puzzle: One should Ignite a Beacon on the Cliff. There's a Way to get there and climb up. You can find even more Treasures along the Way (Boat). Enjoy Searching. So You can and should turn over every Stone and take a close look at everything. And with the Length of the Game (there are many Chapters), this results in an enormous Playing Time. In Addition, there are ingame Achievements that you can untempt, E.g. Ignite 75 Candles, find 30 red jugs, shoot 20 Apples of Trees, etc. That, too, motivates you to try everything possible. I have now started the Game anew and already played almost 2h at a Time and am still far at the beginning (not even where I left Playing after not even an Hour the first Time), because I want to reach 100% and I discovered so much new in the process. My Tip: Try everything, examine every Stone. You can throw, for example, with Stones or Skulls, etc. Gold Jugs from high-altitude preliminary Spraws, etc. By the way, there are the Fights with Sword/and bow, which are also really Fun and also there are often Ways to bypass fights or strong Fins in a different Way too Eliminate. I like the Physics in the Game very much, as well as the Sound and The Voiceover. You realize I'm really excited about the Game and I'm definitely going to keep playing it through. For me, it is the "right" Game for the Vive and not a Techdemo without Long-term Motivation. I hope even more of these Games are developed. Top Game. Best Vive game so far. Clear Buy recommendation.
