"Volt" is a puzzle platformer with idiosyncratic Controls. Recycling is a sensible Process. But who actually thinks of the Emotional Worlds of Things that are just so brutally shredded and reassembled. Do they even want To give up their Existence and, as a whole, what New Things will freeze their Existence? This is also what our Protagonist, a Battery that has fallen out of a Container in Recycling operation, wonders. The Battery decides to flee to escape the eternal Process of Reincarnation. She has only one Problem: Batteries have no Legs. So How do you get around? Fortunately, the Industrial Plant is made of a lot of conductive Metal. In a certain Area around us, we can create a Field of tension, a Kind of Hemp Thread, a temporary Liana at which we can continue to swing. Both the right and left Mouse buttons can produce these temporary Hemp Threads, but only until we run out of Energy. In each Level, it is important to reach the Exit With this cumbersome Method of transport. The Design is great, the Graphics shadingly colorful with strong Depth Blur. The Sound also fits well with the Genre. A good Idea, a well-produced Game. However: You have to make friends with the Control first. It is an essential Part of the Concept, but also the most annoying Part of the Game. You can take it as a real Challenge, but you can also wave off unnerved. A good Dose of Patience should be brought with you in any Case.
