Waiting for the End of the Cycle-a good but sad story NF, in the style of quests of the 90s. The Main focus of the game is made on the plot, it is interesting, the rest worked much worse.
Plot.
In The game we will tell the story of the advent of advanced artificial intelligence, which began the technological singularity, and his relationship with his creator. There are a few forks In the plot, but whatever it is, the happy ending doesn't have to wait. The Story is short, but well spelled out.
Gameplay.
It looks like a quest, but it's kind of deceptive. In fact, the quest is passing by itself, we have only a few moments of choice in the dialogues between Diana, the creator of AI and the AI itself. So the gameplay, it's more of a visual novel. One Passage takes 10-15 minutes, but to see all the possible variants of events, you need to pass the game several times. What cool, there is a pashalka, if in the Start menu, put the mouse on the server AI (that that in the center, the sign/) will be dig in its directories in the format DOS, while trying to make corrections, we are literally kicked out of the game.
Graphics and sounds.
The weakest part in the game. The Picture in the game mow the quests of the 90s, but it is made quite poorly. The Worst thing is the animation of characters and the characters themselves. The Music is gloomy (in a good way), the voice-over in general is just above average.
Footnotes.
The Characters in the game are taken from two past, free developer works.
Throw Me In The River [www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk]-tells the sad story of the life of Diana's father, and a little bit of it, with all the mistakes of the past, which are no longer correct.
Interstellar Borders [www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk]-continues the history of AI from the game, many years later. Here is more comedy, but with a specific humor.
Both games are even shorter, and more amateur than this.
As a result.
The Game is interesting for its history, reflecting on how the relationship between self-aware AI and man can look like. Just as well in it the presence of variability in the plot. The Rest here are somewhat amateur, and I am not sure that the current price is adequate, so short and not the most professional game. However, fans of psychological histories, I can recommend, if there will be a big discount.
