I fell asleep next to an ancient wall, watching crumbling bits fall into black nightmares lost in a dreary and unending corridor. 

 Here, the shadows are gleeful.
I fell asleep beside an old wall
watched crumbling pieces fall
buried inside of black dreams
lost in a grey and endless hall

the shadows here are gloating
