Early Access Review In the following I would like to present a Review for War of Rights, but I would like to mention at the Outset That I did not receive the Game for nothing, but was part of the Crowdfunding campaign and to this day at the Closed Alpha, that is, the last 2 Years ago. So I think I can rate the Title:)
War of Rights is a team-based Multiplayer game that attaches Great importance to historical Authenticity and Atmosphere. It is set in the American Civil War or in the Maryland campaign of 1862, in which the bloodiest Day in U.S. history to date can be found, the Battle of Antietam.
After almost 1.5 Years of closed Alpha, the Game finally gets into Early Access here and I'm really pleased. It is a small Team of just under 8 Developers who constantly outdo themselves. In the Alpha, new Milestones have been constantly reached, new Features have been built in, Bugs have been fixed and so on. However, there is still a long Way to go, so please don't expect the Title to be in Full release the day after tomorrow.
War of Rights at this Stage is running very stable and there are no Bugs that are gamebreaking. If a Bug Slips in in an Update, it will be fixed within a few Hours. The Developers are very active in the Forum and also on the In-game Servers. Again and again a Pleasure to put the Developers in the front Row, but more later:)
War of Rights is unique, at least I'm not aware of anything Like it. If you want to say now, "He has no Idea, there are Holdfast and Napoleonic Wars" is right, yes these Games are there and I played both of them. The Latter more than the former, but they don't compare to WoR.
War of Rights is more "realistic" as far as a Game can. 20 Seconds to reload, while Moving is not possible. To your left and right, the Comrades Stand shoulder to Shoulder as Salve hisses past your Ears around Salvo. The Artillery is really scary and damning.
It feels significantly more immersive than the other two Games. Not least, as significantly more Animations are also possible.
It is also more lethal, as the Weapons were more precise than in Napoleon's time, thanks to technological Advances.
But the most important Point is that the Game rewards players working together through Buffs and Debuffs, causing players to work together.
You Can also see more "Clans" (Companies, as we call them in the Community) according to historical Commands and Formations.
In General, the previous Community is significantly more relaxed. One helps yourself where you can and historical Discussions are commonplace in the Forum, but always civilized. Clearly it is not always Peace and Joy, but very kind and grown-up.
For me, the Point that War of Rights wants to be realistic and not Arcade is the most important Point about the whole Thing. It feels partly like virtual Re-enactment and brings great Joy.
By being team-based, War of Rights offers to connect to a Unit to realize the full Potential of the Game. It's not a must, but you should well have experienced it from that perspective before giving up the Game and rating poorly.
On your own, you get little far in the Game and just don't experience as much as when you're in a Company and acting together as one. When the Battle Line marches across the Field, the Officer grants the fire Order, the Rifles crash, the Comrades fall and the Sergeant just yell "AUFSCHLIESSEN! AUFSCHLIESSEN! SCHNELLER LADEN SOLDAT OR I STELLE YOU IN THE FIRST REIHE!, "then you first have the full Pressing of Immersion.
If it still doesn't Like it, then unfortunately it's just like that and you may just not be the Type for such Games, after all tastes are different, but from this Perspective you should definitely have seen it.
