Warpieces
About
What is Warpieces?
Warpieces is an easy to pick up 1v1 turn-based strategy game where players assemble a band of eight units, including a hero unit, before the match starts and then race to defeat their opponent using a limited set of abilities that can be upgraded for each unit by picking up scrap around the level. Each battle takes roughly 10-20 minutes.
Who is Warpieces for?
Warpieces is intended to be a relaxing entry point for players who are interested in strategy games but are put off by steep learning curves and hour long commitments to each session.
A brief tutorial
*All units starts off the level. On their first turn they can be placed within their starting area.
*Following that a unit may move and then use a skill, using a skill ends the units turn unless otherwise specified.
*Most skills deal damage, reducing a units health to 0 kills it and removes it from play.
*Controlling the crystals at the center of the map deals damage to the opposing hero unit at the end of all units turns.
*The winner is whoever can kill the opposing players hero units first.
*The entire game can be played with just a mouse.
How was Warpieces made?
