Whisper of a Rose reviews

Although whisper of a rose is a fully customized RPG maker game, from images to fights to music, I have not at all hung on to his screenplay. In addition, there is a lot of round-trip during the game, which is tiring.

Sorry, maybe this could be an interesting game... if i could get it running correctly. - no music or sound (yes, i checked the options but nothing) - going through doors the character missed the them by severy pixels and is stuck in the environment - clunky control Maybe if they patch it I'll try it again... but than there are so many RPG maker games around......

At first it's good. It's pretty and everything. And then it's pretty tiring. Piles of impassable objects on the way, placed voluntarily to hinder. We can't do three steps in a straight line. Poorly balanced battles (enemies too easy or too the same card). From the respawn to each card outlet. The reward in XP that had to be adjusted to the dice. Weaker monsters report as much or more than others more painful to kill. No motivation to empty the dungeons, suddenly. The music, too loud and not adjustable. A story that doesn't fly high. Huge maps, but no integrated map, loot of ingredients, but almost no recipes provided. Is it done to sell strategic guides? Forced roundtrips. Wasn't that long enough? A skills upgrade system not practical at all. I stopped facing an enemy who cares more than anything I can send him, while I have visited everything and done all the quests before. It could have been a good game, but it has too many flaws to deserve to devote 40 hours.

Good little RPG but with some gaps... Good already, the music is superb, the graphics are good but unfortunately, it has not been well optimized. For my part when the map is large enough, I have a huge fall of FPS. The story is nice, there is really an effort of fact at the scenario level. Negative: it's very repetitive, it's more an RPG maze or a Dungeon RPG than a classic RPG. Fortunately, this negative point fades over time and the game becomes really nice. The skill tree is quite odd, but you get used to it. I recommend playing the joystick, it's much more convenient (I'm not sure that you can change the keys of the keyboard). Level weapons and armor, it's simple, we provide you. Not 30000 weapons/armor, count about 1 Armor per "Dungeon". In short: 16/20. This game is really nice. Once again the music is just great and the storyline is really pushed. Edit: count at least 25hrs to finish the game for the first time. A new game + mode is available and gives you access to the latest achievements.
