Submission for the "GGJ + Core Holiday Jam". Built using the Godot game engine.

NOTE: No boss fight yet - Soon though...along with several other things.

NOTE 2: The players hitbox does not include the cloud or his hat. I will probably change this to just shrink the player a little bit in the next release.

Controls
  • Movement: Arrow keys or W,A,S,D
  • Interact: Up arrow or W
  • Shoot: Space bar
  • Bomb: B, E, Q,  or Shift
Current features
  1. Walk around the inside and outside of this sleepy wizard's house and marvel at my wife's dope cartooning skills
  2. Interact with the map on the right of the fireplace to select a song
    1. Current supports MP3, OGG, and WAV files only
  3. The chalkboard of recent songs will eventually be interactible but is not yet
  4. Leave the house when the song is loaded to battle a bunch of flame enemies and keep the winter wonderland safe from fire!
  5. Get the multiplier to x100 and it'll bounce to the beat
  6. Enemies spawn based on audio analysis
  7. Flight speed and laser pulsing is based on realtime BPM guessing (super advanced API...jk lol but it's alright)
Known Issues
  1. Sometimes you will not be brought back to the house after a song completes. Unfortunately you will need to close the game and re-open.
Upcoming Features
  1. MAC OSX and Linux support following more testing
  2. An actual boss fight
  3. More powerups
  4. More weapons
  5. More enemies
  6. More things that happen "to the beat"
  7. Improvements to BPM detection to be more consistent
  8. More areas to fly through
  9. Beat-timing-related ability (not sure what this will be yet)
  10. Web and mobile support
