About

Wonder Wings is a flying shooting game with the plushie witch Mata as our hero, fighting his eternal enemy, SpellHound, and his evil minions.

The player controls a plushie, with the goal to defeat all of the enemies in the room, mostly toys themselves, without crashing into obstacles and trying to use all the available power-ups to survive the fight.

[Give us feedback through this form, we'd appreciate it.]

MOVEMENT MECHANICS

The movement is three-dimensional. Mata has a forward momentum at X speed and can move:

  • Up
  • Down
  • Right
  • Left

A forward boost is available as a power-up. Upon hitting a wall, the player will bounce back and receive a little bit of damage.

SHOOTING MECHANICS

The PC has a primary and secondary attack. The primary attack is the “normal” attack, used at standard velocity, low DMG/high ROF, with a delay between consecutive attacks and a cooldown after seconds of consecutive use.

The secondary attack is used at low velocity, with Mata slowed down almost to a still; it’s high DMG/low ROF, with a delay between consecutive attacks and timed windows of use.

PLAYER'S HEALTH

Mata’s health is not an absolute numeric value, but a percentage: whenever the player gets hit, the enemies deal damage based on the total health. The maximum amount of health cannot change.

Enemies drop health orbs that restore 2% of the player’s health for each orb gathered.

POWER-UPS AND PICK-UPS

Mata can hold one pick-up at a time, and a new pickup replaces the one she currently holds.

Power-Ups activate instantly.

  • No overheat for the primary attack, for x seconds
  • Shield (temporary HP, 20% of total player health)

Pick-Ups activate on player input.

  • Boost for x seconds
