Wooden Floor reviews

The Game is very entertaining in and of itself-just unfortunately really short. I pulled it slowly and extensively, after 2 Hours I was through. I'm sure you'd be able to do that in about 30min as well. Too bad, because when I was really "in the Game," it already stopped. I really liked it-so I recommend it further. I discovered Two Bugs, but they are not critical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKCuER23v9g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq3kxzes86Q

The Game would have Potential to build a nice Horror Mood, but in my Opinion it does not use it at all. There are a few small Jump Scares, but they are extremely predictable every Time. Unfortunately, a real Story is not told, which wouldn't even be bad if the Atmosphere of the Game was as great as it would like to be. All in all, I don't regret the little over an Hour I put in there, but I would also recommend the Game.

Pros:-One or two Goosebumps moments already exist Cons:-Unthought-out and cheap Jump Scares-No Or incomprehensible story-In the jump passages, the bad movement system disturbs immensely-the final Boss fight was more than annoying-Hysterical Music-Repeal with The "E" button applies only once-Short Game wall-Greyish lighting effects-Search puzzles ...-Hardly setting Options-Insufficient Graphics quality-Salmon passages-No trading cards conclusion: Absolutely boring and repetitive Pseudo-Horror. The Crowning glory, however, was the incredibly annoying Boss fight. No Sign Of Horror.

"Wooden Floor" is an Independent First-Person horror game. We awaken in a Room, find Pieces of Paper with Messages, open Cupboards and Doors, and penetrate further and further into a strange World in which the Elements of the Interiors are constantly being re-varied. It may well happen that when we close the Door to a Room and reopen, we find a completely different Room behind the Door. It seems like we're trapped in a Dream, in an almost literary Counterworld that actually seems to be our Interior. Actually, a Lot speaks against the Game. It's damn short with about an Hour Of play, it keeps using the same Assets, the few jump passages are annoying due to the spongy controls. Also, the Rätsek are not exactly demanding, the Structure is linear and the Story remains cryptic. But: The Atmosphere is good. This is because the Structure is well thought out and quite surprising, the Illumination Intelligently plays with the Darkness and also not least because the Music and the Sounds Skillfully underscore the Mood. And you can't really complain big about that either because of the low Price. Because you can simply see that the Designer understands his Craft, even if it is technically a Low-budget production. But for this Genre, Atmosphere weighs heavier than the technical Level. Rating: 7/10 Atmosphere 6/10 Story 6/10 Graphic 7/10 Sound 5/10 Game Mechanics 5/10 Balancing 6/10 Game Pass Conclusion: Somewhat wooden but atmospheric. 6/10 Overall Rating
