My name is Xotic, E-xotic. Xotic, released in 2011, is an arena FPS where one embodies a kind of humanoid specializing in the destruction of the ORB. Your goal? Destroy the ORB. The most:-the gameplay is dynamic, we can jump everywhere, shoot everywhere, kill, destroy, make jumpshots, 360 ° across the map, etc... It's extremely enjoyable, it's raining points! So we have two weapons in hand (right and left click), with 8 types of ammunition, and a shield that can be used to protect itself as well as to make it a platform to go higher. -The game is an arena type. We must fulfill the objectives of the Mission (which is most of the time to kill everyone.) in each map, until it falls on the final boss. Each map is replayable, with other game modes in order to lengthen the lifetime for the most fans and motivated. -Good content, with DLCs, we go up to 5-7h of game. You can play it even longer with the additional game modes. -The ranking between friends and world adds a little more. Being able to know who has the biggest is always appreciable. You embody a humanoid entity created to destroy the ORB, an intangible creature that ravages and corrupts planets by insinuating itself into the bodies of native creatures and leaving residues, like plants harmful for proof of its passage. So you're going to pacify short levels by picking up items, annihilating enemy entities using solid bonuses or holograms that will serve you as many static shields as platforms to elevate you into the air. And aerial acrobatics, you'll do it often! To eliminate your enemies, you use a giant fly that is a weapon instead of one of your arms. This exotic armament has several types of shooting: a simple shot, a shotgun-to-pump shot, and others, sniper version, insect-headed or poisoned or burning grenade launcher. When you pass a level in campaign mode, you gain experience points that enhance your weapons or character (life, shield, etc.). So there is an RPG dimension. As mentioned above, Xotic is very particular as far as its way of navigating the game. It would be superfluous to go into detail but simply to consider the levels as tables with several modes of play for each of them. There is a campaign mode, another mode where you have to destroy only scabs plants (which are also arranged as in the campaign mode unlike other modes), an item recovery mode that tests your agility and a destruction mode of spheres , all for the same level. Once you have completed one of the modes, you are registered on a world ranking according to your speed of execution of the chosen goal. So Xotic wants to be competitive in some way. The music and sound effects are at the height of the strangeness of the universe. By the way, I think it would have been feasible to put a multi mode where everyone would have had to cooperate to achieve the goal or objectives as quickly as possible with a time countdown for example. It should be noted that there is a rather cocase bug that occurs randomly. Sometimes some enemies do not have arms, so it is impossible for them to shoot you. In conclusion, Xotic is honest and without any real flaw, but it remains a FPS very far from the tenors of the genre and that can only address to tolerant players who want to experiment strange games.
