Yakuza 3 reviews

Slower than 1 and 2 but comfy Kiryu is best Kiryu
Some early PS3 clunk don't make this any less of a Yakuza game

ANIKI, it's clear that this is quite an old game and it suffers from some PS3 era limitations. If like me, you started the series with 0, you'll be unable to notice these short comings. With that being said, the third(fourth) installment of Kiryu's story is incredibly endearing and if you're a fan of the previous games you owe it to yourself to continue going, to like me, see how his story ends. Having just recently played 4, I can tell you that 3 is a rough title overall, enemies block way too much and heat actions don't do shit to bosses. Aside from that, I have no complaints, this game stays true to its formula and does so well, likeable characters, wacky side quests and a main story that will have you genuinely interested from start to finish.

I'd give it an 8/10, but don't take my word for it, I encourage everyone to try the series out, it's changed my life for the better and that's no joke!
