YEET EARTH AT THE SUN

You are an awesome god... but not a very benevolent god -  not when Homo insapiens are really making things quite unbearable. It's time to put them and their planet out of their misery once and for all.

Gather resources, mix them up, and chuck them at the Earth to cause massive earthquakes and mile-high tsunamis... but do try to rescue as many of the most wise & intelligent beings as you can: large aquatic mammals.

Gameplay Guide

There are two start options - 'normal' and  'quick'. The latter makes resource collection three times faster! Good for those who don't like clicking too much :)

Use the mouse to navigate - left-click for interaction and right-click to return to the [system] screen quickly. There are in-game settings for fullscreen/windowed and music on/off and quitting the game, which are also accessible using the ESC key. The game is HiDPI-enabled for Retina and other screens. 

Learning how things work, and solving the simple puzzles of unlocking the interface, is part of the gameplay. The basic flow of the game is as follows:

• find and gather resources on the planets
• discover and unlock 'recipes' to create godly weapons 
• use these on the Earth individually or create combos
• increase seismic instability to trigger earthquakes and tsunamis
• save the whales to unlock triumphs & progress through the game

Developer Notes

Everything made from scratch in 3 full days and 3 long evenings (after work), using the awesome LÖVE game engine with only one extra library, 'classic'.  I've never really used LÖVE beyond doing half of the excellent Sheepolution tutorials, and only properly started learning it during the jam!

All game design, artwork, interfaces, text and code by Mark Barton who remains the legal owner of this material (except for the lövely whales). Music is 'Ocean' by Sidearm Studios, obtained from Humble with full licensed usage.

I hope you enjoy it. I'm now going to sleep until the Earth gets swallowed up by the Sun.
