You Against Pixies

Fight against them!

Here you are, in front of the worst pixies on the earth.
You have 5 dices to choose the best strategy for battle.
The faces have 3 types: Attack, Defense, and a Special one that can double the effectiveness of your action if you choose wisely (in the pokemon/jan ken po style).

The Gameplay:

- The battle is turn-based. 

- Combine two dices from your deck and press the "Fight!" button.

- Red dices deals damage, blue dices defend you from the enemy's attack, and the white ones apply a modifier of 2x (if the dice element is stronger against the pixie element) or 0x (otherwise).

- Fire is strong against grass. Grass is strong against water. And water is strong against fire. (You will be punished if you use the Special Powers wrongly)

The Development

This game was elaborate to face the challenge of GMTK Jam 2022. All the art, code, and soundtrack were created and composed in 48 hours, between July 15 and 17, by Gus Costa.

The theme was “Roll of the Dice”, so, in order to respond to this challenge, I made a turn based dice roll fighting game. Hope you like it! =)
