Viacheslav Aristov

Viacheslav Aristov is a designer and writer for Metro 2033 video game. He is the author of the main storyline. There is not much information about Aristov's participation in the designing and writing process as such data are not usually exposed other than in developers diaries and interviews.

Style

As the title is the adaption of Dmitri Glukhovkiy's Metro 2033, it was Aristov's quest to adapt the novel to video game medium. Nonetheless, the arrangement was mostly similar to the book's plot; there are a few forking paths which opt out of the main storyline — for instance, there is a possibility to receive an alternative ending. Overall, Glukhovskiy was satisfied with the quality of adaptation; however, he pointed out that a couple of versions got rejected as he did not see any potential in them. The commercial success makes the sequel possible, and in 2013, Metro Last Light released. Aristov did not participate in its creation process.
