NOTE: This review only includes the fourth chapter of the game, does not contain spoilers.
Back to the Future is a game developed by TellTale Games in which we narrate a new adventure where the original characters of the movie: "Marty MCFly" and "Dr. Emmett Brown" Have a new adventure caused by changing the past that have to Solicionar In order to maintain the present (or future?) as they know it.
How to get started? This Fourth Episode I consider as the best so far. At some point with unexpected moments, very interesting turns and more noticeable winks to the movies. In This fourth part, Marty goes back to the past with the DOC. Who recently discovered that his "I" of other times is an inventor and that is his true passion; So your goal is to regain the original time line.
Personally very impressed by the humanity they gave the Doc. In this episode, and without making spoilers, it puts you to think within the main point of the story what would you do in your situation?. The story is Just getting better and more.
As is the custom of TellTale games, Back To The Future is a game/novel where you will be the expectant and your role will be to get the events untied to continue the story.
Unlike more recent deliveries of TellTale, the decisions that you take always lead to the same end, ie, there is only one course of action and there is only one way to solve the riddle that you have at hand, so your task is to find the combination of actions PA RA achieve it, whether interacting with any particular character, or using some combination of "object-interaction."
In other deliveries The decisions you take affect the outcome of the game and being a game with the theme of Going Back to the Future, I think it would have been a good touch that there were different endings or different reactions to what we do, hence the importance of not Change the past.
The game does not represent greater difficulty, so you have to pay attention to the dialogues on the screen so that we can solve the puzzles. In Addition to this in case we have difficulties to solve it, the game gives you the option to use "tracks" that will guide you to continue with the story. More recommended for patient players since not being able to solve the mystery in progress can be somewhat frustrating.
The graphics are cartoonish style, but they embody the characters in an excellent way. The reactions are very well applied and make you feel like reading a comic.
Due to the style of the same does not require a computer or video card very powerful to be able to enjoy the game.
The Sountrack is a mixture of the previously heard in the movies with a few touches of new music of mystery. It gives a good touch and does not become repetitive. They gave a good use to the classic sounds in the important moments of the story.
The duration of Back to the Future in this third chapter is 2 to 3 hours approximately, depending on how advances in riddles. It'S The chapter that has taken me so far to finish. At the moment with 8-9 hours of guaranteed play (in the analysis of the next chapters we will realize the total duration).
A weak point that has already been mentioned is that there is only one course in history which is obligatory to follow. The game does not have different endings or actions that can result in a different outcome, so I do not think it has replayability. Unless you've lost some detail of the story and want to live it again.
The game is adapted to be able to play with contl and combination of keyboard + mouse.
I Tried both ways and personally I keep the keyboard, as it makes it easy to interact with objects that are not so in sight.
Another detail that lacked polishing and at the beginning is uncomfortable is the following: When you walk on the map and there is a change in the angle of the camera, the direction you were walking is already assigned, ie if you were walking to the right and change the camera , keep walking to the right makes the character walk up. You end up getting used to these changes, but it shouldn't be like that.
Back to the Future fulfills its task of getting stuck with the story and with the intrigue of knowing what will happen. So I'll see you in the future! (In the review of the fifth and final episode)
