About
Only in 1953 – KGB Unleashed can the answers be found!
“1953 – KGB Unleashed” is based on real projects conducted by the Ministry of State Security of the USSR (the former KGB). During that time they pushed the limits of human endurance, testing for the possibility of telepathy, as well as researching the psychological impact of fear on the human brain. The photo-realistic visual style of “1953 – KGB Unleashed” recreates the USSR of the fifties: the underground shelter’s interior is constructed using real Soviet military plans, and the materials found there are based on historically valid documents.
Explore a hidden laboratory where such experiments were conducted in order to learn the truth behind the terrifying events that led to the closure of the project and the liquidation of its staff. An atmosphere of isolation and suspense pervades throughout, bringing you face to face with your own fears, while the voice of invisible “observer” broadcasts over the internal communications system. Is this observer a friend, or an enemy? Your exploration of this perfectly-preserved complex may uncover what these experiments unlocked deep within the human psyche — but will you survive these revelations intact?FeaturesSecret underground areas with special KGB objects

Visually old-fashioned, but actually quite atmospheric. The Problem is much more that it is a "click in the right order on the right Objects" game. And it's not obvious, unfortunately, what's clickable at all and what the Goal is. May be Part of the Game principle, but I prefer Logic puzzles.

1953-KGB Unleashed Has a lot of Atmosphere to offer. Unfortunately, it's still just a render adventure. Without knowing what is actually going on, you should solve Rätzel. The biggest Rätzel, though, is probably to find these. With an Indication of which Objects you can use, I would certainly have liked to follow the Story. So I just got bored of the bad Graphics.
Whoever is on such Games probably already knows it anyway. Everyone else should wait for a Demo.

Some of the negative Criticisms cannot comprehend the negative Criticisms. I was very entertained by the Game.
In Short, The Story revolves around a person trapped in a Protective Bunker who is supposed to help you get Out.
The whole thing is presented very atmospherically. There are many Documents to read, very tricky Puzzles, hidden Postcards or Advertising Flyers that fit well and time And are often very controversial. It all fits into the Bigger Picture.
The Whole thing is not Too easy in some Places either. You have to link you to a new one, act cleverly and take Notes from time to time.
If you are interested in the Topic and if you enjoy technically simplistic click adventures, you should definitely risk a Look. I have not regretted the Acquisition.

KGB Unleashed, because of its Controls, is reminiscent of old "Still image games" like Myst.
You can only spin slowly and click in one Direction, there is no free Control.
The Story plays (as the Game title suggests) in the early 50s somewhere in Russia.
The Graphics are acceptable, many small Clues give a dense Atmosphere though .. The Game is decidedly too short.
The End came as a very surprising surprise: I had assumed to be in the first Quarter of the Game ..
The Puzzles that have to be solved here are sometimes quite crisp; One may throw the Game into the Corner out of Frustration, others rejoice in any successfully solved puzzle.
By the Way, you also learn the Side effects of chemical Agents.
For the wide Mass of Players, the Game is certainly too "tough" and, above all, too short.
Anyone who has played through it once misses the Appeal of playing it again.
The Game in a New Edition (Standard Control w-a-s-d) and especially LIGHT I would immediately return to:)
