Placed in a prison universe, this little puzzle game at the same time inspires and deforms the portal universe in a new and very well thought out way. To make it simple, we clearly do not love you and you will have to fight to survive.
The heavy and oppressive atmosphere, largely due to the work of music that always corresponds to the action and to the talented doublers putting a real intention in their replicas, manages without difficulty to put us in the skin of our character from the the first few seconds. Let's add to that the very good idea of nonlinear history and different endings and you get a very good puzzle game to the first independent person.
The only flaw I will have to find is its short lifespan (4H in my first part). Add a handful of hours to chase out the different endings and successes and you'll have to go around it. Before we think that it is fatal, let us remember that portal had the same flaw to be too good in relation to its lifespan.
It is often blamed for this game to have resumed the inspiration and codes that have made the greatness of portal, become the equivalent of the reference (rightly) in the sphere of the first-person thinking games. However, it is more relevant and interesting to look at the differences with this model and not the commonalities.
Indeed, at times, this game surpasses even portal and proves to be more relevant and logical than its model (mainly in the reasons why we are there).
In addition, the tool available (the magnet gun) imposes a whole new way of thinking and resolving to each room.
Finally, the successful atmosphere of the title gives it its own identity and gives it its independence.
Little detail that shows that the developers were rigorous, the chlorinated gas serving "incentive not to lay the foot on the ground" is actually green-yellow, denser than air, with a metallic odor and the ability to make the lungs bleed. It is certainly a detail but it shows the seriousness of the Studio.
Finally, I advise to take this game in reduction, so as not to have the impression of staying on its hunger (even if, like everything excellent, you never have enough).
7/10 graphics (pretty good, neither ugly nor incredible).
History 8/10 (would have won to be more detailed and longer but already satisfactory in itself).
Music 8.5/10 (good quality and adapted to the scene).
Fix 6.5/10 (overall quite small apart from the latest puzzles).
