Product received for free Game time-20-50h+ (22h with me) Rating-6/10 Short version: + environment (Especially the last Quarter) + Combat system-character e/Dialogues-Story I don't normally play RPGs in this Sense and the Review is also more for People who like it Comparing goes: Foreword: I collect thousands of Games at Steam and since I currently have Time I started working through my Steamlist alphabetically. And there were also 3 Stars of Destiny.
Spoilers about the Story are partially present, but that doesn't matter in this Game.
The Game is very very old-school, there are only Sprites that are unfortunately very ugly, and no Models and 3d Animations or anything in the Direction. The Drawings absolutely do not fit the Atmosphere of the Game and seem like something of a bad Anime of 1970, but you get used to it quite quickly.
The great Strength of the Game lies in the Environment that has pulled me into the world as a non-rpg fan after 4-5 Hours of Play as soon as you see the first real Dungeons. Unfortunately, in my Opinion the Characters are extremely mies, and especially the Dialogues are sometimes really very cringy.
"" Example (SPOILER)-At the End of the Game you are trapped in a different Dimension with the group and the Hero tells the Attendant that he only wants to seem like a Hero to her, so that she is impressed by him, and that is the Reason for the whole Adventure. Followed by "I love you. * kisses her * "(SPOILER ENDE) ... Jesus Christ .. No... In general, the Game uses a lot of * chuckles * or similar Expressions ... seems very strange. The Dialogues Are unfortunately simply not good, and the Story also seems very shocked and is told almost Child-like. The Game tries to be funny in almost every Dialogue, but it's at best simply unfunny, but partly also uncomfortably cringe-worthy to read.
The Combat System is good and very extensive, there are 7-8 different Status Effects, many different Types of Damage and extremely many Items to use in Combat. Unfortunately, it can be very frustrating if bosses before you can even do anything, or sometimes over 5-6 Moves, you are luring your entire party. It happens again and again that you don't win KANNST, but for that there are well-set memory points, actually before every major Fight.
We have now arrived at about the last Quarter of the Game, and actually I would not necessarily give a positive Rating for the quite high Price of the Game so far. But.. Then comes the "last" Chapter, which has an incredibly beautiful Environment and creative Ideas and Opponents. The Outer World looks damn good, and especially the Halls, with modern Environments, Hotels, roads, subway connection, Doctor-waiting rooms and extremely strange Opponent direction Giygas really let the Game shine again. Just before the End, you have to fight your way out of the Belly of a space whale ... I mean.. WHAT.
I'm just rating the Main Story of the Game here, I played on Easy and played through the Game as quickly as I could. Completely without Side Quests and great Exploration I've come on 22h game Time. Fans of RPG games will probably be able to play the Game over 50h+, enough to Explore definitely seems there.
