7 Billion Humans reviews

Hello everyone! After 7 hours of play and a number of past levels (44 it seems to me), I give my opinion on this game. First thing to know, I was never good in computer science, I was always lost when we started to talk about pointers... If only this game was out during my studies! To make it simple: you program humans (Yes Yes) to perform tasks. The game is very progressive on the first two palliers, the arrival of memories, initialization of variables starts to complicate things (but it is accessible, the proof, I get away!). As every time with this developer, the game has its own artistic dough and a soundtrack genius, it is a pleasure to let the game turn simply for the music and it is rare enough to be underlined! Over the overall lifespan, to finish everything, it will take 15-20h I think, the price is so correct. If you want to torture your brains, don't hesitate, this game is for you!

A great Puzzle game with big challenges. Visually and technically, a Pleasure. Allerings are the Challenges very high and I can still remember the Time when I still had my old Commendore C64 and tried the first Steps in Basic. Since I wrote my own Programs at that time and later tried my hand at other Programming Languages, I have Basic Knowledge in Programming and yet the Connection, this Knowledge with the simple Programming language of the Game and the associated Puzzles To implement, far from easy and rather demanding. So I wonder how a Player with no Knowledge at all in Programming should implement this? There would also be my only Criticism of the Game: I think a slower Learning Curve and preferring a few More levels would have done the Game good. But of course I don't want to underestimate the Intelligence of the Players and so I might overestimate the necessary Prior Knowledge. In the end, the Game has more than succeeded and I am already happy to be able to play the next Levels, if I have Time.

It's Easy to see that that's kind of a Follow-up to "Human Resource Machine," which follows the same Game principle but has drilled up all the Commands somewhat. The Commands are more extensive and instead of one Worker, it is now mostly several, which is the Counterpart to Threads. However, as with the Predecessor here, as Soon as the Tasks need a slightly larger Solution, it is pointless to deal with the ingame-"editor," because you lose track of everything very quickly and use code export and import to a traditional Editor needs to change. Also here again a lot is built on GOTO, which has long since been frowned upon in the Programming and leads to illegible Code. The Language can be read and written quite well. However, one is very attached to the Limits of the ingame editor. Each Marker must be jumped on by _ exactly _ a JUMP and Markers have a maximum Length of 4 (!) Signs, which makes a meaningful Designation impossible. (Text) Comments are, of course, just as UNKNOWN here as ELSEIF or Brackets to prioritize IF conditions. In the End, every slightly more complex Level Code comes out that looks extremely botchy, which it is through the countless JUMPs, the broken marker names and the nested Ifs. In addition, it is hardly possible to build dynamic Solutions so that a fat Lump of Code comes out with all sorts of hoded and coded Steps. Conclusion: Idea is good, Implementation rather so meh ...
