A Place Like No (ASCII VR)
About
VR Adventure prototype inspired by the style of 80s ASCII Adventures. Explore a mysterious world made of letters and signs, where words turn into their meaning!
This is still a prototype, so play-time is something around 15-30 minutes, and of course you might run into some bugs (hopefully not game-breaking). The prototype was part of my bachelor's thesis in Game Design at DE:HIVE / HTW Berlin.

Currently playable on:
Windows
Oculus Quest 1 & 2 via Oculus Link
Oculus Rift
HTC Vive / Vive Pro*
Valve Index*
*Note: The current version has been tested on a Vive Pro with Index controllers, the only test setup I have access to apart from the Oculus platforms. An older version did work fine on the Valve Index though. If there are problems with either platform, be sure to tell me and I will see if I can fix them soon!
Android
This prototype was originally developed for Oculus Quest stand-alone, but I am currently transitioning to a free speech recognition solution. That's why at the moment, only the Windows version is available. A stand-alone version for Quest 1 & 2 will be uploaded soon, pinky swear!
