A Tiny Great Fall
About
Controls:
A W D for movement.
Collect Pollen for a new ability that strengthens the more Pollen you have.
You'll figure out the rest.
Feedback:
Feedback of all sorts is encouraged for this game. I don't care if your feedback if negative or positive, and I won't be offended by anything you say. Actually, I would appreciate some negative feedback, as I like the idea of making a full version some time in the future.
Theme:
The first thought I had when I saw the "cozy autumn" theme, was leaves. autumn leaves are my favorite part of fall, and I always find them relaxing. I thought leaf platforming would be fun, and quickly realized that the game could take place in the same universe that I'm creating for another game I'm working on.
I didn't entirely follow the optional mechanic "one room only," because the game takes place in no room at all.
I didn't follow the optional color palette "autumn glow".
Notes:
This is my upload for the Cozy Autumn Game Jam.
This makes my first game jam, first game release, and first time experimenting with music.
I didn't realize the jam was here until I had about 9 days left, and a lot of the content became a bit rushed near the end due to lack of time.
In any case, I greatly enjoyed participating in this game jam, and I learned a whole lot while doing it. In fact, participating in this jam finally made me comfortable with game dev, and using Godot.
Credits:
I made everything myself with the helping hands of the following resources.
Godot: Which I used to make the game.
BandLab: Which I used to make the music as well as the game sounds.
Piskel: Which I used to make most of the art.
Gimp: Which I used to make the background art.
