Acceleration of SUGURI X-Edition HD reviews and comments

Translated by

Now that Acceleration of SUGURI 2 is just around the corner, I will give my about impression of this game. It Is entertaining, though simple in its unique style of taking mechanics from a Bullet Hell, and turning It into a fighting game. About the gameplay, the game uses 6 buttons: 2 attacks (laser and missiles, or as they call them here, Live Ammo), a button to fly and traverse the lasers (But increases the Heat Counter, which causes the character to receive more damage), a button for additional attacks (Like the Sword of His Guri, the Hime chains, or to Kae melee attack, a "Shield" button, which serves as a "Combo Breaker", and a button to take out the most powerful movements, called Hypers, or a final movement called Accel Hyper. Besides Suguri, we have the other girls who were the bosses of the first game (Saki, Iru, Nanako, Kae and Kyoko), which appear as playable here, with their techniques slightly modified for balancing, so expect a reduced difficulty. And There are 6 more characters that can be unlocked: Hime, Suguri-P (uses bits like Nanako's), Suguri-SP (a super powerful Suguri specializing in close combat), Sora, Noname (a robotic clone of the villain of the first game) and QP (Invited by QP Shooting- Dangerous!!). There Are 4 game modes, Arcade, History, VS and an Online mode that is unfortunately very inactive (They Say the online is bad but the truth does not know me), a way to see repetitions, and extras to learn more about the characters. EDIT 1: Sadly The Online does not synchronize well, TCP IP mode does not work. I Do Not know if it will be a problem of jueguiop or my compu, but it is really frustrating. Duels run in a 2D arena, imposed on 3D backgrounds based on the scenarios of the first game, which look spectacular. The sprites of the characters look great, and you can also adjust the screen size, and adjust it to the format Fullscreen (4:3) or Widescreen (16:9). Objectively speaking, the new HD interface and the portraits of the characters (By Keiko Sakurai) are very well done, although you can switch to the original interface and portraits. Personally I liked the new designs, except for some exceptions (The old portraits of Kyoko and Sora I liked more than the new, and QP in particular... Its new design is... Something uncomfortable to see). Music, excellent, techno by DEKU style. They'Re like remixes of the original songs. There Is A soundtrack called "Hoshi no Kakera", but unfortunately you have to get it apart. Sora as playable character: Maybe Everyone knows this, but did you Know that before starring in your own game, Sora actually debuted here in AoS1? In terms gameplay is like a clone of Suguri, uses its same weapons and has very similar techniques (Albeit with subtle differences), for example, Suguri has a move (Its Dash + A) where it shoots three lasers followed, and Sora instead shoots a short spreader Reach. These two are basically the Ryu and Ken of the group. Although Not everything is pink: The game was located by Rockin' ' Android, which was also in charge of the first game, but apparently disappeared from the face of the Earth, and the game did not receive any update, and you notice problems like some glitches Charts, achievements that do not work, low in FPS, the random select does not work (Or works in a strange way, sometimes I choose the same character up to 10 times in a row). The game in general does not work with Windows 7 (This I discovered the bad). I Think it's fortunate that AoS2 is in charge of Fruitbat Factory. So, do I Recommend the game? Of course. It May not be up to the fashion games, like Street Fighter V, The King Of Fighters XIV or Blazblue Central Fiction, but it is entertaining and frénetico like a good Bullet Hell, it is worth getting it especially if they can get the complete package that includes The two games of Suguri (The first one is complicated, so much that it is therapeutic in comparison) and I recommend it so that AoS2 not catch us unawares. This fight is meaningless. No matter how much you hurt me... I won't give up! -Suguri
