The beautiful blue sky is getting painted darker with each passing moment.
    War.
    People killing each other.
No one knows who started it anymore.
No one even knows how long they have been fighting, forgetting what they are fighting for.

During this war, a girl was born.
    Her name was Sora.
She was born with a power for fighting.
She was not happy about it, but the people around her were.
They sent her to the battlefield with no regard for her feelings at all.

The last war on the worn-out planet.
Whether it is won or lost, there will be nothing left.

Sora does not know the meaning of her fight.

Sora reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Deutsch
Sora is a horizontal Shoot ' em up from OrangeJuice, the Creators of Games like "QP Shooting – Dangerous" and "100% Orange Juice" (which sooner or later will probably also get a Review from me). This Game is part of the Suguri series and tells the Story of what Happened before the first Suguri Game. The Original Version of Sora came out in 2010, with an improved HD version of Sora January 2016 appearing on Steam. Plot The World is shattered by War. Humans have been fighting each other for Ages, as long as no one knows the Cause of the War at all. One thing is certain, however: Neither side will give themselves the Blandness and end the Fight without Victory. So Sora comes into Play. Her Body could be strengthened to a special Whiteness, which is to make her Victory in this War. Now it's Sora's Job to follow her Destiny, whether she wants to or not. Since this Game is a Shoot ' em up, the Plot is not particularly deep; At the End of each Level you come across a Boss Character, a few Words are exchanged, and a Fight follows. But even so, the Game manages to create some recognizable and likeable characters, and by the End of the Game, one hopes Sora can bring about a good Ending for her World. Gameplay Sora is a horizontal Shoot ' em up of The Bullet Hell Subgenre. However, instead of focusing mainly on dodging Projectiles, Sora, like the Previous Games in the Suguri series, has a great Focus on the Timing of Attacks. Unlike other Shoot 'em Ups, Sora can't just fire Projectiles at enemies permanently, as Sora stays in her current Position every Shot, making it an easy Target for enemy Projectiles. There are three Types of Projectiles: • Lasers, which can usually be fired quickly, but do less Damage and, if they come from The Enemies, can be traversed unscathed by Sora using the dash capability, • ballistic Projectiles, such as Missiles Which do the most Damage, but keep Sora in Place longer, and • Melee Weapons, which force Sora to get close to the Enemies and thus to unexpected Projectiles. Thus, not only Reflexes and Imprint of the Projectile patterns are the only Winning factors, but also the correct Use of the Weapons, which makes the Game so special. Sora can own a Weapon of any Weapon Type at any Time, with more weapons of those Types unlocked as the Game Progresses to give the Player more Customization options. But you can also play through the game very well with the Standard Weapons, which are even my personal Favorite weapons. Each Level has two Parts: In the first you fight against a Number of different Smaller opponents, and in the second Part you fight a three-phase boss. In the first Part of the Level, a big focus is placed on figuring out which weapon works best at which enemy, while the boss Battles are more Likely To focus on the traditional Dodging of projectiles, thereby changing the The skills required take place, which keeps the Game interesting even if you only play one Level at a Time. Sora is quite challenging, even at the simplest Difficulty level, and also for Shoot 'em Up fans. Once you get used to the Weapons Mechanics, however, the Game becomes much easier. Presentation The Game uses a Mix of 2D Sprites for the Characters and Objects, and 3D Background graphics, and is held in an Anime-like Art style. All in all, the Game looks quite good. Anyone hoping to see beautiful Projectile Patterns (such as in the Touhou Games) in this Game will unfortunately be disappointed. This Game is generally not as colorful as you might expect from Anime Shoot 'em Ups. But there are some good Lighting Effects that bring a little more Contrast to the Game. What Sora lacks in Color, it makes up for with an exceedingly rousing trance soundtrack. The Songs go very well with this Game, and although I like Trance rather less, I'm still really excited about the Soundtrack. The OST can be purchased in the Bundle together with the Game (or separately as DLC). Verdict Sora is a very good Shoot ' em up game with a slightly different but far from bad Game mechanics. Fans of (Anime) Shoot ' em Ups should definitely get this Game. However, for People who don't like Games where you need very quick Reflexes, you'd better leave your Fingers off that Game. Sora gets 4 out of 5 Oranges from me.
