About

Affliction
Set in the fictional Eastern European country of Ghulovka, amidst a terrible civil war, Affliction allows players to take on the role of Vasya, a patient plagued by nightmares and fractured memories, who awakes inside of a cell in a bizarre research facility where grim human experiments are taking place. With no memory of their reason for being there, players are forced to fight for their survival amidst a hellish catastrophe while frantically seeking answers to discover the truth behind their identity and unveil the mystery surrounding the horrific true purpose of the complex.

Venture into the Triglav Complex: an abandoned, cold war era, soviet military research base whose original purpose involved developmental weapons. Now, the derelict compound is operating once again with similar intent. A dreadfully dangerous and highly classified chemical weapon known only as Morana has been under design for years, but has become too difficult to control and containment has been breached. Affliction is a survival horror game designed to engage players with a thrilling storyline, surreal lore, sprawling environments, merciless foes, a chilling atmosphere, and an unforgettable gameplay experience. Players must explore, scavenge, and fight in order to survive and live to tell the tale.

Experience the terrifying possibilities of human experimentation, biological warfare, and chemical warfare from a first person perspective. The game features many different locations to explore including a disturbing research facility, a dark wilderness, a desolate city, and more. Exploration can be rewarding, but it can also be very unforgiving.

Adapt and use extreme caution with every choice made as there are also many different types of enemies who will bring a grisly demise to anyone foolish enough to underestimate them. Military death squads tasked to purge, ghastly mutants hunting to feed, and renegade anarchists attempting to resist are only some of the many hazards that await in this afflicted story.

Early Access Review Have already played the Game for almost 5 Hours. It is first in Early access status and in deR Alpha 1.3 there is still some work to be done. Tip: If the Graphics look weird in the Levels etc., you need to turn off the Steam overlay. First Thought there was a Graphics Error but is not so. The Menu is kept simple and then I started the Game without the Tutorial and came straight clear how the Game is being played. The Graphics are ok I can't find a Bomb Graphic But also no horrible graphics. Control with the Arrow Keys and with the Mouse. The Sound is also fine. In the Game I think the Story is okay and the Level Design is good too. In the Case of weapons, there is a Need for Action in the AIM Control that, when shooting, the Shot is warping to the right, especially in the Case of the pistol. But is still fixed by the Developer and you can then turn on a Crosshairs. What still needs to be improved is the Loading Time to the Chapter levels of the Load So charges at the 2-3 Minutes until the Chapter begins. Unfortunately, loading Scores also takes a Damn long time. He recharges the Energy in the middle of the Game or if you take a break just go to The Break menu because he also recharges the Energy. I only got to Chapter 3 in the Village where the rainshady starts and the Zombie Horde arrives. When it comes to the Sale, you can definitely try the Game.

I do not advise to play it. The Game is bad. Very bad. The fact that the game is made on GameGuru, it does not. I am familiar with the capabilities of GameGuru and can confidently assert that this engine or constructor is capable of more. In This game there are a couple of quality levels that are really interesting to pass. Unfortunately at the first such a quality level you get the empty hour and a half of the game, then 5 minutes of cool gameplay, after returning back to the bad game made on the knee. Lighting is not configured, in many areas of the level is simply absent. The "Cell Shader" Effect here looks disgusting, but it's more of a lack of customized lighting (the shader can be turned off in the game files). It feels like the task of the author was just to release the game in the steam. He didn't even try to make it qualitatively. There is no radar, navigation, markers, so that the player was easier to navigate in the world of the game. The Research starts to annoy, when you are already 20 minutes running around a small location there and do not understand what to do (in the end it turns out that you had to open an inconspicuous door somewhere in the corner). It was difficult for the author to add icons, pictures, icons, even something... So that the player is not lost. Why make a player suffer? I have been following this game since the first days of opening early access. I Really wanted to put my finger up for the effort, but the developer threw the unfinished game, so the review is extremely negative. My Fair score of 3/10 is all that the game deserves in such an unfinished state.
